-Radam G :

Neither Dirrell nor Rubio look healthy. They need to come up with new diets and probably health-and-nutrition super chefs. Dirrell and Rubio can fool da know nothings, but not those in da know. These dudes' bodies just don't have the BANG-BANG eye-candy whip-an-@$$ super glow. They have been pigging out on the down low. And made the weight on the bytch quicky quick, instead of the pro-know-how slow. I have no doubt that these dudes started starving down and cutting fat and calories the week of the scrap. Holla!

-brownsugar :

I didn't know Marco was that big.... Dirrell is a scrappy fighter but I feel he's way to straight up. However that shouldn't hinder him against Rubio who is still solid but has seen better days. Maybe the increase in weight will perk him up a little.

-stormcentre :

Man, if Dirrell can't blow Rubio out, dominate him, and also noticeably disrespect him, then there is really something wrong here. Anthony Dirrell is usually a pretty tough, rough, and occasionally swarming kind of fighter that also exhibits top level durability. It's only when he's in with someone that has similar qualities and/or someone that is a reasonably well rounded technician - someone that can seriously pressure hurt/him that his game starts to change and/or show some signs of cracking. That's not exactly anything to be ashamed of, as that kind of opponent usually spells trouble for most other fighters that can't easily adapt in the "A" grade; and they're not exactly in abundance. I could be wrong here, but I can't see Rubio representing and/or doing that. :) :)

-deepwater2 :

My tsAH algorithm says Dirrell should win since Rubio was destroyed in two rounds in his last fight. Then again Dirrell lost his last fight and was outboxed by Jack of all people. Dirrell also came in heavy on the scale for this fight and had to drop extra weight and weigh in again, which is not a good sign. Rubio is fighting above his best weight and looks to be the paid guy to take a beating and lose. Not sure why this fight is even featured since both guys lost their last fight and looked bad. I will DVR the card because the lighter boxers should be entertaining and matched well. If The dog can't stop Rubio in a fixed fight he shouldn't be featured anymore.

-brownsugar :

Kameda and McDonnell entering the ring now. I have a feeling this one will steal the show.

-brownsugar :

A lot of intensity, movement and focus in the first round, this going to be good.

-brownsugar :

Kameda doing a good job towards reversing his loss, but it ain't over.

-brownsugar :

McDonnell reasserts his dominance by becoming the aggressor and working off a stiff jab. Things are heating up, the lid is about to blow !

-brownsugar :

Intense is the only way to describe this fight, but neither boxers are what you would call "heavy hitters".

-brownsugar :

McDonnell working the jab overtime, neither fighter fading in the tenth....announcers like Kameda, but I see McDonnell working hard.

-brownsugar :

Both corners giving speeches that movies like SouthPaw can't come close to imitating.

-brownsugar :

Oh snap! Kameda slipped at the same his was punched... Knock down called

-brownsugar :

15 seconds, Kameda Unleashes a potent flurry. McDonnell fights back...we go to the cards ...lol. UD for McDonnell. Retains title.

-brownsugar :

I'm not a fan of the stiff legged Dirrell. But congrats for kicking cancer in the arse and overcoming a motorcycle accident. Rubio looks trim and strong and hyped. Does the perennial gatekeeper have a chance? Dunno, but Rubio looks healthy for a chance at 168.

-brownsugar :

Rubio showing a little giggle around the waist ...but is trying to walk Dirrell down.. Dirrell explodes with a vicious right hand combination. Rubio looks hurt but recovers.

-brownsugar :

Systematic beat down in progress, Rubio is still hanging tough but it appears he's acquired too much respect at this point. Dirrell explodes with a vicious combo....after the smoke clears, surprisingly Rubio is still here

-brownsugar :

Easy peasy target practice for Dirrell as Rubio continues to walk into his wheelhouse taking tremendous shots.

-brownsugar :

Rubio must believe he's going to have a David Lemieux moment...he's taking a licking and getting his soft gut battered but he's trying to t-off whenever he can on Dirrell.

-brownsugar :

Clash of heads round 5

-brownsugar :

Round six, Rubio is trying but just can't do it. Rubio blew up 50 lbs after losing to Golovkin and the weight loss is starting to show....signing off for some BBQ and lemonade.

-deepwater2 :

Rubio looks like a fat blob. I count 3 rolls on his side. Rubio was weighing in at over 210lbs a few months ago. I bet that is reason he was signed up for this fight. Dirrell should be embarrassed that Rubio is having his moments in there.

-brownsugar :

Rubio apparently wasn't going to take the easy way out in Texas in front of a large amount of supportive Hispanic fans.
