 OVER 10,000 FANS EXPECTED FOR CHAVEZ JR VS. LYELL SATURDAY NIGHT IN MEXICO
Culiacan, Mexico -- Over 10,000 fans are expected for the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs. Billy Lyell showdown at the Banorte Soccer Stadium here in Culiacan.
Advance sales have been very strong. Hundreds of fans have watched Chavez Jr and Lyell at their workouts during the week. Freddie Roach, chief trainer of Chavez Jr., has taken pictures with fight fans and has signed hundreds of autographs.
The Top Rank Live! broadcast will begin 9:30 pm eastern with a preview show on Fox DePortes. The opening bout will be Saul Roman of Culiacan against Michael Medina of Monterrey, Mexico. Chavez Jr., 41-0-1, of Culiacan will defend his WBC Silver Middleweight title belt against Lyell, 22-8-0, of Youngstown, Ohio.
