Not long after the Haiti earthquake, I had a chance to hear President Clinton speak in Las Vegas. I can say without a doubt the single sharpest individual I've heard speak in my lifetime. That I'm not related to. ;-)

Biggest mistake the Clinton's made in my opinion was not running Hillary for what would have been their third term. Really, I see no way they could have lost that election. Which only makes you wonder, who ultimately calls all the shots?

With all due respect, I don't think they'd have had a chance. At that time, Hillary had yet to hold elected office (not yet a Jr Senator, and obviously pre SOS), and there was significant Clinton fatigue in 2000 (as there is with almost all 2 term Presidents, irrespective of performance). The world was very different before that Tuesday morning in 2011. Gore even ostracized Clinton during his run. Of course, that didn't serve him well in retrospect. But I'm with you on Clinton's gigantic intellect, and he's only regarded better and better with every passing day. Sure will be interesting in 2016.

And last, thought your response under a separate thread regarding how tone and context can be misinterpreted was superb sir.
