Oscar De La Hoya Admits Self Into Treatment

Former fighter and current promoter Oscar De La Hoya's battle against personal demons continues, as the 40-year-old California resident announced that he has admitted himself into a treatment facility.
De La Hoya, who retired from the ring shortly after his December 2008 loss to Manny Pacquiao, went public with a substance abuse struggle back in May 2011.
Here is the statement from De La Hoya, who won titles at six different weights, which went out on Tuesday early afternoon.
Los Angeles (September 10) - Canelo Alvarez and I have big fights coming up this weekend. His is the ring and mine in treatment.
De La Hoya, who won gold for the US at the 1992 Olympicsm admitted in August 2011 that he had succumbed to the temptation to use cocaine in the past, and had thought of ending his own life. The statement didn't specify for what reason he was again entering treatment.
