BIG BEAR, Calif. (April 12, 2011) – More than 50 members of the media spent several hours Tuesday at the high-altitude training camp of three-division world champion “Sugar’’ Shane Mosley. Bus transportation to-and-from Las Vegas and Los Angeles was provided by Top Rank, Inc.

On Saturday, May 7, Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs), of Pomona, Calif., will challenge World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), of General Santos City, Philippines, in the main event of a blockbuster event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Promoted by Top Rank, in association with MP Promotions, Sugar Shane Mosley Promotions, Tecate and MGM Grand, Pacquiao vs. Mosley will be produced and distributed live by SHOWTIME PPV®.  What Mosley said Tuesday:

"My energy is great, at a very high level. I have a lot of power in both hands. I know Pacquiao will go right to the attack which is a great advantage for me.

"I know how difficult this fight is. Pacquiao fires punches from all kinds of angles, is on his toes during late rounds and gives you different looks.

"But pure power can take over all of that. I know I will be able to get good hard punches onto Pacquiao.

Plus I have the biggest advantage of all with my chief trainer Naazim Richardson. He's never lost a fight against a Top Rank champion."

"I know President Obama met Pacquiao. I can deal with it. President Obama will always be my man. I will always vote for him. Someday I hope to meet the President and maybe play a little basketball."

pacman is a monster...fast, great power, phenomenal quickness and agility and punches in

extreme bunches...but shane has a point.. he does have more power. pacman battered

margacheato to a decision...but shane nearly killed him...in fact i honestly thought that

shane may have killed him....oh i know, styles make fights and marg was there for shane

but the point is that many people think that what shane means is that he is gonna load

up on his punches becoming slower and gas out...

this is not what he means ....

what he means is that all his punches are sharper and stronger than any foe pacman

has fought....

i think shane stands a better chance because he has not overtrained for this fight as

he did floyd, he trained as if he was 25, and now he understands the aging process along

with vitamins and nutrition...in a way he is on the path of bernard....

shane understands he now has to train and fight differently....

dont be surprised if pac wins a ud, but hits the deck once or twice while doing so...

it all depends on shanes discipline...

if he stays relaxed, reserved, conservative and very picky making sure not to over react...

Shane and company sure are a jolly bunch these days... busy partying it up (in a clean athletic way)... and whooping it up like it's 2099... I hope he can come close to walking it like he's talking it. Shane never found that KO shot against Cotto... and Floyd survived it.. I still need hear a good reason why Pac would be the exception to the rule... I hope Shanes' preparation is going as good as his hype. If it is,.... we'll be in for an entertaining night of Boxing.

I guess a Pac-punch is be gonna be tickling da sugar one's arse like a feather. WRONG! Da sucka is gonna be hit by nukes and missiles, not by a safety-first shot of Mayweather. He coulda, woulda, shoulda put da deep sleep on da son of Pops Jack, but courage to try for a KO, Mayweather May will always lack. Getting defeat in the BIG super fight, Sugar Shane cannot get that monkey off his back. Just as when it comes to signing to dance with Da Manny, COJONES, da money-luvin' Lil' Floyd doesn't pack. But Sugar Shane is a braved soul, but is full of blanks. And is going to look as if Da Manny whoopa whopped his arse with a billion planks. Holla!

As Junior Mayweather said about the same issue once he faced Mosley : "this is not a strong man competition - it's boxing " , i think he proved his point AND as Manny did in the past few times , he proved anyone Floyd cuts he can cut even shorter , FIN .
