The historic joint appearance by legendary promoters Bob Arum and Don King will be streamed live and free of charge on BoxingChannel.com at 9:30 eastern standard time (6:30 Pacific Standard time) on Thursday, March 10th. Viewers will get a chance to watch these two  icons share boxing war stories and talk about the past, present and future of the sport.

The event, held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will be moderated by  Al Bernstein. Members of the press will also get a chance to ask questions of both Arum and King.

These two are co-promoting the Saturday, March 12th battle between Miguel Cotto and Ricardo Mayorga.

A special preview on that big fight  can now be seen on boxingchannel.com. The show includes interviews with the two fighters and Arum and King, predictions from boxing experts and Al Bernstein's keys to victory.

Complete same day coverage of  the March 11th weigh-in and the post fight press conference on March 12th will  also be seen on boxingchannel.com.

Has it really come to this? I remember that scene during the weigh in of Eddie Mustafa Muhammad vs Michael Spinks, where Mustafa failed to make weight. Mustafa went on a tirade and told the promoter (butch lewis?? i don't remember) that people came to see the fighters fight, not the promoters promote. Here we are a few decades later and we're actually being invited to watch two promoters promote!
