Saunders vs Monroe Jr Headlines London This Saturday - BT Sport in the United Kingdom will feature the return of WBO world middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders this Saturday as he returns to face the challenge of American Willie Monroe Jr.

Saunders is logging his first fight of 2017 and just his second fight since capturing the WBO world title back in December of 2015. The relatively unsung Monroe Jr is best remembered for his May of 2015 loss to middleweight kingpin Gennady Golovkin, and though he has gone 2-0 since then, he too has been on a layoff of roughly one year. The winner gets to sit back and watch Golovkin fight Saul "Canelo" Alvarez later that same day in Las Vegas knowing a unification bout between middleweight champions could be next.

The fight sits atop an eleven fight boxing card promoted by Frank Warren and his Queensberry Promotions. Check local listings for start times on BT Sport. The main events appear below and you can check more details in this latest TBC report.

Just announced for US fight fans is that Monroe promoter, Banner Promotions, cut a deal with Twitter to live stream the Saunders-Monroe fight (and some of the undercard). This is the second time this year Bannet had cut a deal with Twitter on a live stream broadcasting the Terry Flanagan-Petr Petrov bout a few months ago. Kudos to Banner Promotions for finding a venue to showcase the Saunders-Monroe bout to US fight fans and what a great appetizer heading into the huge GGG-Canelo PPV event.

By the way, Monroe sitting at +255 at the moment. Great value. I think he can box the shoes off Saunders. But what will the judges in the UK see?

Don't forget as an appetizer prior to tonight's big ppv card that Banner Promotions will be live streaming this bout (and portions of the card presumably) beginning at 5:30 eastern time on Twitter. The more boxing that is broadcast the better and streaming live cards online has really taken off in 2017.
