ID:	2019Johnson vs Derevyanchenko Tonite on PBC - The Premier Boxing Champions on Fox Sports 1 came to us Friday night from an outdoor setting right on Main Street in Miami, Oklahoma.

Middleweight contenders Tureano Johnson and Sergey Derevyanchenko delivered a crowd pleasing, back and forth fight that saw both men put together good moments throughout. Johnson was taller and longer but he was not able to keep Derevyanchenko off of him and the Russian picked up the physicality as the early rounds wore on. Johnson took a lot of punishment from the Russian who was sharper and more precise throughout the fight. Derevyanchenko' best chance to finish the fight came in round eleven as Johnson went bak to his corner bloodied. Johnson came out aggressive in round 12 seeming to be aware he needed the knock out but it was Derevyanchenko who beat him to the punch and floored Johnson. The referee stepped in to stop the fight after the knock down, giving Derevyanchenko the hard fought win.

The middleweight ten round feature between Hugo Centeno Jr and Immanuwel Aleem saw two youngsters hook up in the co-feature. Centeno Jr is a decorated amateur who is continuing his comeback after taking the first loss of his career. He was taller and longer than leem and he forced Aleem to work. It was nearing the end of round three when Centeno Jr landed a big left hand on Aleem's chin that sent him down and out.

The FS1 broadcast kicked off with lightweight action as undefeated 21 year old Austin Dulay took on veteran Carlos Padilla of Colombia. Dulay had a strong first round before letting Padilla get into his comfort zone in rounnd two. Dulay dropped Padilla in round 3. Padilla hung on to end the round on his feet but he would not answer the bell for the fourth, giving Dulay a stoppage win to go 11-0.

The broadcast team saw Ray Flores and Robert Guerrero do the microphone work on the FS1 broadcast.

Derevyanchenko looked very good. He is such a sharp puncher and uses his feet so well to set up angles to land cleanly.

However, I do see a big flaw. It was apparent in his fight before against Russell and also here against Johnson. Derevyanchenko squares up way too much in front of his opponents. He is out of position then and can be easily hit. The issue if not corrected will be more apparent when he fights a bigger puncher. He gets hit clean but walks thru the shots and continues forward breaking down his opponents like he did against Johnson...against a fighter who can crack a little more than the opponents he has faced so far that will be an issue.
