Promoter of the Year - "Premier Boxing Champions"

The Boxing Channel recognizes Premier Boxing Champions as the 2015 Promoter of the Year. Some may protest, stating that the Al Haymon project labeled "Premier Boxing Champions" is not a true promoter. They may argue that Bob Arum's Top Rank, Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy, or another more traditional promotional company would be a more appropriate winner.

Boxing continues to be a beautiful, yet imperfect sport. And yes, the emergence of the PBC series has involved various allegations of running a monopoly, along with a variety of lawsuits. However, this award is strictly for boxing promoting, and in its simplest definition, it pertains to who did the best job publicizing the sport and providing quality shows for the people.

Top Rank and Golden Boy were certainly involved in some of boxing's biggest nights this year, and they both have projects that nurture young fighters. Golden Boy's Belasco Theater "L.A. Fight Club" series has been airing on Estrella TV and via live-stream consistently throughout 2015. Top Rank's smaller shows air on UniMas, allowing Bob Arum to showcase his up-and-coming talent. Perhaps the strongest worldwide promotional model is that of England's Eddie Hearn. He has a consistent calendar of shows on television, with major events appearing periodically on pay-per-view through his exclusive relationship with SKY network.

This has enabled PBC to work as a "super promotion", creating an unprecedented amount of opportunities and events. From March 2015 through the end of the year, Premier Boxing Champions has televised 46 events in the U.S., providing them an opportunity to flex their roster of roughly 200 fighters. PBC kept much of their high level talent on a strong calendar of 2 fights a year, while also introducing many young, talented fighters. Some of their live events featured a dozen fights or more, and the main events for each show were given headline treatment on television.

Check and see what the"Premier Boxing Champions" named their "KO of the Year" right here. The "super promoter" did not just serve as an umbrella for some of America's hardest working groups, they also broke ground by airing the "PBC" series across a group of channels that include SpikeTV, NBC, NBC Sports, CBS, Fox, Fox Sports and ESPN. Boxing has not had a presence like this on American television in the last 30 or so years. As expected, with that type of volume, some shows were better than others, and some shows were bigger, but the overall quality of boxing and the presentation of the sport was solid and generally commendable. This year, no one has put the sport of boxing in front of more people than the Premier Boxing Champions. Therefore, the sport's first "super promotion" has been named the 2015 TSS Promoter of the Year.

PBC was wonderful with fixed scraps -- tsAH's top guns against cavaders, tomato cans and marshmallows, and occasionally with over-performing bums.

If that is how you win an award? Okay! Holla!

It is hopefully early matchmaking, IMO. Some guys need build up fights, they needed to meet some big commitments early (like Guerrero reportedly got 7 figures easy for the Thurman fight) that help to establish their credibility. They had a lot of great fights. Not to knock GBP but come on the Lemieux -- Three Gs hoax was just bad matchmaking. So everybody does it. Basically by inundating the market they have the most reach right now. Er, Holler!

Hehehe! Three g is just that good. Many thought that Lemieux had a snowball-in-hell chance. So it was not a set-up dance.

TsAH is buck-dance mismatching his pugs to get beat downs. But they are ending up looking like pathetic clowns. No hate! I'm just calling a spade a spade, mate! And not brown nosing and hiding in the shade. Holla!

Hmm brown nosing? me? Sorry, nah that aint it, its just that you gotta acknowledge 46 shows in 10 months. Its free, you dont have to watch. In three years if they stay on plan, they will have some major fights. Its matchmaking now to build.

Hehe! Nope! Of course, you are not brown nosing. You are doing your job -- a fine one -- and reporting da true haps of the scraps.

The brown nosers are the gang of dummies always thanking tsAH for exploiting them in the slick, latent way that he does it. Da dude is a humbug behind a curtain. OMFG! I'm calling him another darn phony wizard.

TsAH is more dangerous, and is doing more damage to boxing than the humbug who hid behind the fake hair did. And that will be no less than Da Don King. Holla!

TsAH is such a darn humbug with immense powers that he has already gotten favors done for jail-released rapist woman-beater Ike Ibeabuchi to stay on the mainland USA and make a comeback in da game.

Ibeabuchi was supposed to be deported back to Nigeria when he got of jail. But his now old arse -- for a boxer -- is making a comeback at 43 years old.

No hate. But tsAH got da holy power to ban Jesus from returning to earth riding a white horse with wings on a cloud. He is going to probably get God Jr a space shuttle flight down here. Hehe! I'm just joking.

But TsAH must have some Roman blood up in his veins. Hehe. Holla!

Technically, PBC (Haymon) is not a promoter. He acts as an "adviser" to his fighters. The PBC uses various promoters in a way to skirt the Ali act.

Golden Boy Promotions is the promoter of the year. They consistently made high quality fights, worked with other promoters to make good fights and found another outlet (Estrella TV) to showcase their fighters on a platform that can be viewed by all fight fans. I go back to January when Golden Boy matched a couple of their guys tough in Fidel Maldonado and Michael Perez in high risk high reward type fights that were competitive on paper (Maldonado vs Imam in a shoot out and Perez vs Accosto in an overlooked slugfest). Throughout the year, Golden Boy pushed for the fights the fans wanted and often delivered giving us such fights Matthysse-Provodnikov, Golovkin-Lemiuex and Canelo-Cotto. Oscar spoke about making the fights fans wanted and he delivered. Golden Boy Promotions is the promoter of the year in 2015 and I can pretty much assure 2016 as well.

NEWSFLASH: The "theatre of the unexpected" is always showing up and showing its arse.

Ibeabuchi has shocked the crooks and signed with the Canadian shadow Michael Koncz instead.

Ibeabuchi's comeback is going to be interesting. Holla!
