  1. Re: Mikey Garcia’s Return Adds Excitement to a Sport on the Upswing

I like the fact that Robert Garcia and Mikey have indicated a willingness to fight Lomanchenko and Crawford. If he can return to form.
  2. Re: Boxing Has a Poet Laureate and His Name is Paulie Malignaggi

Everybody needs to fight,.....it feels good to fight every once in a while....there's something very cleansing about it..... its part of human nature
Good luck on your upcoming bout... go out strong.
  3. Re: Mikey Garcia’s Return Adds Excitement to a Sport on the Upswing

The 5-7 lbs separating the lighter weight classes can make a huge difference. I would be amazed if Garcia could physically adjust to the welterweights.

But I think he could grow into the Jr...
  4. Re: There was some stupid scoring last night at the MGM Grand

can't argue with that Storm that 3 point deficit is a killjoy for sure.
  5. Re: There was some stupid scoring last night at the MGM Grand

I haven't really thought about it much but OB's and Storm's comments have made an already interesting subject even more enticing.

Personally I'm in favor of the...

    Re: Is Mayweather-Crawford Possible?

CORRECTION, ....BRADLEY is good friends with Broners not Crawford....... although he expressed his glowing impressions of Crawford win over Postol.

    Re: Is Mayweather-Crawford Possible?

Regarding Mayweather vs Crawford....I could see Crawford playing TAG with Floyd all night long in another dull affair... Crawford has "legs" for days, could probably go 15 rounds in bicycle mode. ...
  8. Re: Terence Crawford Wins a Third Belt and Other Post-Fight Notes

Thanks for the comments Domenic, after a good couple of nights rest and a reviewing about 18 hours of podcasts, interviews and taped commentary from my favorite boxing news sites(including the...
  9. Re: Terence Crawford Wins a Third Belt and Other Post-Fight Notes

I guess I can stop complaining about Crawford winning by too wide a margin now..

    Re: Is Mayweather-Crawford Possible?

Nice write up again OB....but it wouldn't be a boxing site if there wasn't at least some minor disagreements. I don't think we'll get Crawford vs Bradley so soon as both boxers regard each other as...
  11. Re: Terence Crawford Wins a Third Belt and Other Post-Fight Notes

Points taken Domenic and SRD. Im glad Crawford won, but I never figured him for a guy who would just not engage and sit on a lead for long periods of time. Even Mayweather doesn't wear out his...
  12. Re: Terence Crawford Wins a Third Belt and Other Post-Fight Notes

Those are some interesting comments by Crawford, blaming the unsavory and tedious lack of action on Postol.

Especially When he chewed up great stretches of the clock circling the ring and...
  13. Re: Crawford Schools Postol – Quick Wrap-Up From Vegas

By the 8th round when the camera panned the balcony view of the arena, I imagined that I heard Michael make the following impromptu announcement: "BORING".

I never would have imagined Crawford...
  14. Re: Surprises, Surprises on Friday’s Zesty SHOWTIME Boxing Card

The seats were empty but the fights were full of action. Good card.

Re: Is Viktor Postol a Live Underdog?

When Postol fought Lundy he used deft head movement and fast feet to evade punches while darting in to land jabs to the midsection and straight rights to the head.

When Postol ducks a punch he...

Re: PEDs . . Here To Stay Or Not?

JUST CREATE THE "JUICE" LEAGUE WHERE JUICING CHAMPS BURNOUT OR KEEL OVER FROM CARDIAC ARREST OR TESTICULOR CANCER EVERY FEW YEARS CRESTING OPPORTUNITY FOR THE NEXT GUY.....while were at it let's...
  20. Re: ADAM LOPEZ AND ROMAN REYNOSO FIGHT TO A DRAW

Lopez was the better boxer, but he was getting out worked by the spunky Reynoso.
  21. Re: Foxwoods Ringside Report: Derevyanchenko Destroys Soliman; Khytrov Stops Mendez

Its obvious Soliman wasn't flown in to win, he was flown in to provide a high profile name on SD's resume. To bad that by the time he gets to be ranked for a title shot, he may have missed the GGG...
  22. Re: U.S. Olympic Boxing Team Has Eight Members, Five Fewer Than 2012

I tend to listen to as little from Trump and his plagiarizing wife as possible, including his skewed statistics and his hate/fear inducing rhetoric.
But I feel that as a nation we should stop...
  23. Re: Foxwoods Ringside Report: Derevyanchenko Destroys Soliman; Khytrov Stops Mendez

Soliman spent 10 rounds worth of stamina in the first round, I've never seen an old guy move so much. I started channel surfing at the beginning of the second round, to relieve myself of the...
  24. Re: U.S. Olympic Boxing Team Has Eight Members, Five Fewer Than 2012

Seen a lot of video on Shaker, real classy kid, quick of hand and foot. There's even a middleweight from my neck of the woods. Awesome!

We might get a medal or two or three..

Re: Is Viktor Postol a Live Underdog?

He's more than a live dog, he's virtually standing upon the razor sharp precipice of a major upset. ... some casual guy jumped all over me earlier when I mentioned that Postol's upbringing rivals...
