Lotierzo Joins TalknShoot Boxing Podcast #31

Lotierzo Joins TalknShoot Boxing Podcast #31 – The Sweet Science’s very own Frank Lotierzo has been around the sport for more than 30 years and he rates very high as one of TSS’s all- time contributors. Lately, Frank has been expanding his horizons beyond pen and ink and keyboard as he has been contributing to our sister sight The Boxing Channel.

Check out Frank’s breakdown of the December 10th Jermall Charlo vs Julian Williams fight over at The Boxing Channel.

Now, Frank joins host Miguel Iturrate for the latest TalknShoot boxing podcast, labeled “2016 Heavyweight Closer.” In this nearly hour-long edition, Lotierzo takes us through an in-depth look at all the heavyweight boxing action as we head into the final month of the year. The discussion includes a breakdown of the controversial Joseph Parker vs Andy Ruiz Jr bout for the WBO world title as well as Anthony Joshua’s IBF title defense against Eric Molina and a look at the rest of the heavyweight matches on Eddie Hearn’s big December 10th card at the Manchester Arena.

That would include the Dereck Chisora versus Dillian Whyte match that brought the house down, and Frank and Miguel also fast forward to this Saturday’s interim WBC world title bout between Alexander Povetkin and Bermane Stiverne.

The pair also delve into Jermall Charlo’s performance on Dec 10th where the super welterweight defended his IBF world title with a strong fifth round knockout of previously unbeaten rival Julian Williams. Charlo was seen rebuffing Williams’ approach in the moments immediately after the fight, a move that may signal Charlo’s arrival as boxing’s newest “bad boy.”
