Floyd Mayweather’s final fight, a masterful dismantling of Andre Berto, will premiere on SHOWTIME this Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

“It’s official…You have to know when to hang it up,’’ Mayweather told SHOWTIME Sports® reporter Jim Gray after his unanimous decision victory over Berto last Saturday on SHOWTIME PPV® from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“I’ve been in this sport 19 years, been a world champion 18 years, broke all the records. There’s nothing else to prove in the sport of boxing.”

The delayed telecast of Mayweather vs. Berto will include the junior lightweight world championship rematch between Roman Martinez and Orlando Salido, another Fight of the Year candidate in this classic Puerto Rico vs. Mexico rivalry that left fans and the fighters craving a third matchup.

Mayweather vs. Berto will be immediately followed by the premiere of “ALL ACCESS: Mayweather vs. Berto Epilogue.” The Sports Emmy®Award-winning Epilogue shines the spotlight on fight week and takes viewers inside the ropes and into the mind of a prizefighter like no other show on television.

I didn't watch the fight but I might this Sat or DVR it. I am taking bets with my wife what round we will fall asleep in. She doesn't even want to try. She knows better. Its funny that the showtime commentators that the trash talk was the most entertaining aspect of the fight. Who knows, I might just start hosting fight parties again.

I watched it with Russian commentators. Too one sided to be entertainig but not as boring as the Ghost fight or Chino 2. Berto just stalked forward and followed. very linear with no lateral movement, did not go to the body. got tied up like he was getting paid for it. Of course there were times when Floyd should have put together combinations when he pot shot and moved. Lots of times. For 38 He is ridiculously quick and agile, very accurate and content to cruise to UD's. Me, I have that killer instinct built in Floyd lacks, I like more offensive action. Of course, I may be a little different than others, built much different from Floyd, I used to get yelled at by my coaches for running my linebackers over while flying up from free safety to make tackles.

All Access, ....... when Berto is interviewed, he looks like one lonesome guy with his back up against wall in a dusty gym who happens to have a beef with the entire world while being interviewed in a 1980's Rocky Movie. Cut over to Floyd and they queue the slow motion, complete with a thumping bass track in the background to set the mood,...... it appears that a wind machine is being used to blow air through the silky hair of dozens of glitzy models dressed in sheer sequine coated revealing gowns while Floyds chills in a dim club, to the sound of decadent music and the nonstop popping of champagne corks. While the camera traces the curves of a sexy waitress doing a salacious slow motion walk toward Floyd carrying a tray with vitamin water, as hundred dollar bills and glitter rain from the ceiling, etc... The production crew has this image of Floyd nailed down to a science. Strangely glamorous yet insanely artificial at the same time. No wonder folks hate him,.....lol
