Get Ready To Win Another TOY Award, Manny Tells Freddie, Because KO Is Coming!

He doesn’t ever recalling admitting this, in all his years, amidst all the wars he’s engaged in.

Freddie Roach, age 55, a fighter his whole life, who this evening receives his seventh BWAA Trainer of the Year award, in NYC, at the Boxing Writer’s gala fete, told me that he admitted aloud that he was “hurt” when his charge fired a launch at him during mitt-work.

“The last three times doing mitts, Manny has almost knocked me out,” said Roach on Friday, after telling me his older bro will stand in for him and accept the bauble at Capitale. “The last time, man, he hit me by mistake in the throat, and if it had hit my chin, it would have knocked me out. I would have been sleeoing for a week! It hurt..and I don’t think I used that word my whole life!”

The Massachusetts native told me that it’s not old hat for him to win the award, and guess what, he’s thinking about number eight. Why’s that?

“Manny told me yesterday that I will win number eight…because he will knock Mayweather out on May 2!”

Ouck! Ouck! O-o! Da Manny's mood is mean. Bitting off L-L-Cool-J, da Manny is going to crush Lil Floyd like a jelly bean. Holla!

Hope this supreme confidence is for real and not because he is really nervous deep down. Many reports show that he is too confident but hey you can't go into a fight nervous right? I have a big deal of confidence in him so I hope he really feels the same Just not used to seeing Manny this confident before a fight. Manny by MD or 9th round stoppage.

He is nervous as heck. Both pugs are. It comes with the territory. Pugs CALL it having "The butterflies." Holla!

Radam, I was having lunch yesterday in Hancock Park with a friend and he introduced me to an artist who was very close with Manny so I offered to look at his work and give them a professional opinion. He took me to his studio which turns out to be Mannys garage. I looked at the work, enjoyed the company, offered my services if there are any that I might extend, and then turned around to leave when out came Manny, after his late afternoon nap, on his way to the Wildcard. My new Pinoy friends ask me to wait and then introduce me to the little man from General Santos city himself. I didn't want to be rude but I enjoyed meeting him, told him that I was a long time fan, wish them luck and said God bless you, you're a true inspiration to me. He gave me a small hug and smile and went on his way to work. Interesting day. I got to talk with the number of members of his entourage and they said that is conditioning and confidence was spectacular and that all talk about a knockout is very serious. That the man is motivated in a way that he hasn't been for years and that he has every intention of inflicting punishment. No mercy. One observation. The little man has the biggest calves I've ever seen. Bigger than my thighs! LOL Floyd better be ready because the typhoon is coming and I could feel it

Pacquiao will win 2nd round ko and in May 3rd newspaper headline read........... 47-1 I hope the security on this big event be very tight, we don't want anything to happen that will disrupt this fight a lot of A- list people in attendance. This event is the biggest capitalism and greed come into major play. I can imagine seeing Floyd jr entrance to the ring wearing a long red robe with a crown on his head with his bitch justine bieber beside him. After the fight Floyd will come out with lump on his head, disfigure face; carried out in a stretcher and will retire boxing for good.
