Manny Camp Update

There will be sparring today, maybe eight or nine rounds, after doing eight on Tuesday, and there was mitt-work yesterday, about 14 rounds worth…and by all accounts, all systems are go for Manny Pacquiao.

The Congressman is doing his usual expert job at juggling, maintaining his smile and grace as he does media at the famed and fabled Wild Card, pulling the promotional wagon for the May 2 clash against Floyd Mayweather, who seems to prefer to let the Filipino blare the bugle, and hype the event.

Roach is happy with what he sees, as is right hand man Buboy, a source close to Team Pacman told me, and in fact, things are clicking to the point the insider said, “There seems to be something special going on. He’s more engaged when he’s talking to Freddie. They have been watching tape, and they will be working on not just attack, but on cutting off Floyd’s escape. Manny will bring it to him, and he will make his presence known early. He respects Floyd but in no way is he intimidated.”

Things don't sound good for poor Floyd !

I expect both men to be heightened emotionally, physically and spiritually. Manny's agility and livelier footwork along with his volume and speed will beat Floyd convincingly to a UD.

I agree 100% Manny will do such a good job the judges won't be able to screw up without a riot at the MGM !

If it goes to a decision there is no way he wins a close fight. If he was robbed(all time) against Bradley even though it was Arum that promoted the fight. Then you can bet Mayweather Promotions(Lead Promoters) can pull something like that also.

Holy doesn't agree with you, as many Afro-AmerKano pugs don't. And I don't agree with them. If Da Manny doesn't kayo Money May or beat him 11 out of 12 rounds, he will be the receiver of Yanky Panky -- I mean hanky panky. Nonetheless, holla at what Holy is talking conspiracy about:

What's all this about Manny being cheated or robbed of a decision? ...Pacfans should be rejoicing instead of fabricating an early excuse. The fight hasnt even been fought yet. Pac appears to be motivated and confident, he is younger and still quicker than any welterweight on the planet. And 5 times as people worldwide want to see Manny win than Americans wanted to see Joe Louise beat Max Schmeling in their historic rematch. There is no reason to evoke Murphy's Law into the proceedings this early.... There's absolutely no indication of a fix being orchestrated by Arum, Haymon, or the little Old Men who calculate the odds in Vegas. In fact the odds are drawing closer. If you haven't bet on Manny yet you'd better get in now or forever hold your peace. Rumors of Floyd getting dropped by Zab Judah in sparring ....by a body shot coupled with Floyd's reluctance to agitate Manny or engage in the usual prefight trash talk should bode as a positive sign. Personally i see this as an extremely difficult fight for Floyd to win. So what's with all the bytch-moping by Manny's most vocal and astute fan club? I mean inevitably somebody is going to lose this fight. I hope i don't find out about anyone from the TSS slitting their wrists in the bath tub after the fight because he or she was afraid of getting cyber-bullied on the TSS. Lol.. I watched Pacquioa vs Bradley several times, Pac still has that incomparable in and out movement and its far less predictable than it used to be. Im still facinated by the fact that Marquez is the only fighter where that approach was not very effective against and how that anomoly plays into this fight. Manny slips through the defense of big guys like Bradley and Martinez with ease but nothing gets past Marquez. If Floyd has any inherent advantage against Pac its because he is a naturally small welterweight himself. I watched Floyd versus Maidana several times as well. Even though Maidana gets tagged as "single dimentional" he was doing a few things well in that fight. Maidana actually fought Floyd with effectively decent pressure without taking a lot of shots on the way in. Maidana slipped and blocked a lot of punches while taking advantage of opening left available while floyd was waiting to counter. He fought a good strategy but fell short against Floyd's more effective countering. Maidana's approached mimicked Castillo's strategy in many ways...but at the same time both Castillo and Maidana had a 17 pound weight advantage, ....an advantage that Pac will not enjoy. Also Floyd's punching power should be felt by Pac to a greater degree than guys like Canelo and Maidana. If Floyd was dropped in sparring ... Its the best thing that could have happened. Its best to get hurt and embarrassed before the fight than during the fight. Floyd entered the Canelo fight with a black eye. But his performance was captivating.....easily Floyd's best looking fight since beating the undersized Marquez. Just one more month....hope no one gets hurt in training as we await the fight of the century

Calm down ain't nobody going to slice any ones wrists lmao. I'm completely confident about this fight. I say weight has no factors come fight night unless Floyd impose his size by engaging PAC and that's the last thing Floyd wants to do. It took Marquez a 4th fight to finally get the best of Manny and before that fight he had so many distractions(believe it or not) so I don't believe Manny's head was even in the fight. Floyd will need to come at his very best if he wants this because if he comes with the wrong approach he can't win. Roach will take Manny abilities and iron out what moves he can exploit on Floyd. He will not use Maidana or Castillo as a carry over to game planning. Manny is the smaller man so he can't use his size to push Floyd back but use lead lefts one twos and lead rights. I only saw highlights of the Canelo fight but I finally watched that fight and I saw Floyd get hit with cleans shots. Floyd for the first time in a long time was taking the fight to his opponent. Was this due to the lack of respect he had for Canelo? I think so. I was laughing at how Canelo did not follow up on his punches. He was having success with the jab but notbovn came behind it. Left hooks were landing too. I think he didn't have the arsenal(punch combos) to bother Floyd.

-#1 PacFan :

If Manny feels that Floyds best shots can't hurt him then I expect a landslide. We all know what Manny does when he thinks he can't be hurt. He will go all out and walk him down. So that's my only big question for this fight is if Floyd has the power to hurt Manny because I definitely don't see Floyd outworking him. He just doesn't throw enough punches.

All the craziness is coming from the Mayweather bunch. In a little than a month, he will clearly lose. This is why he and his groupies are putting out nonsense. The scrap is going tbe mano-mano. And we see Da Manny's hand raise. Holla!

I hope Manny Doesn't put too much energy into the first 5 rounds of the fight because I feel the last 5 rounds will decide the winner... Rounds 8-12 will show who can impose their will the most...

Da Manny will not be energy whacky and wasting at all. It will lastly be Money May putting too much energy into the first five rounds. Matter of fact, he has guaranteed his fanboys, fanfaronades, Floydykes and Flomos that he is going to kayo Da Manny by the fifth round. Holla!
