Poll Position: How the Fans Voted

Is Lamon Brewster the best heavyweight fighting today?
Yes  43% (118 votes)
No  57% (155 votes)

What Counts
Everyone who loves the heavyweights looks forward to the nights Lamon Brewster fights. At 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, he’s a small heavyweight in our super sized era. And while he’s an imperfect fighter, gets hit way too much for his own good (Buddy McGirt should change all that), Lamon’s got that kayo punch, the great equalizer, God’s gift to those who believe, and he has that rock solid chin and that 24K heart of hearts. Brewster’s got a couple of losses to go with his 33 wins (29 by KO), no man’s perfect, but he collapsed Klitschko when it counted, socked Golota all the way back to Poland, and he’ll probably do something similar to the White Wolf Saturday night. Brewster holds the WBO crown, but there are lots of crowns to go around, more kings in the kingdom than one can count. But if Lamon Brewster were to fight Byrd, Rahman, Valuev, Klitschko, Toney and Brock, but not all on the same night, would he be the last man standing?

Witter A Slapper, A Flapper (A Career In The Crapper?)
"Another upset! I keep making the right bet. I never thought for a moment that Witter was a good boxer or a hitter. He is just another slapper and a big-mouth flapper. In the hurt business, no word can hit you like a fist. He got knocked on his butt, and his words didn't cushion his fall. Hopefully, he will now shut up. More of today's boxers should learn the art of hurting, and cut out all this garbage of hyping. All the sightings of "Big Foot" and "UFOs" have been delusions, but these sightings of upsets in 2008 boxing are hard realities." ---TSS reader Radam is lovin' the upsets
