Former Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson Joins DonKingTV.com ‘Halloween Thrilla’ Broadcast Team Saturday

Fight Card Begins at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT/10 PM GMT

WBC USNBC International Titleholder Ray ‘The Rainman’ Austin Risks Championship Against Former Top-Ranked Heavyweight DaVarryl ‘Touch of Sleep’ Williamson;

The legendary former undisputed heavyweight champion, whose greatest years were spent with King, was the youngest man to win the WBC, WBA and IBF world titles.  Tyson went on to become one of best heavyweight boxers in history.

“Oh what a glorious day,” said King.  “My prodigal son has returned.  It may be Halloween, but this is no trick.  This will be a treat for boxing fans around the world.  Mike is more than one of the greatest heavyweight champions in boxing history.  He is a boxing historian, and nobody can break a fight down like Iron Mike.”

Tyson will join blow-by-blow announcer James “Smitty” Smith and analyst Ken Miller at ringside.

It’s not TV…it’s DonKingTV.com on Halloween Night!  Check out a preview of Fright Night action at

The World’s Greatest Promoter started DonKingTV.com in March of 2008, accomplishing another first in the world of boxing by starting his own network via the Internet.  He featured Cory Spinks and Devon Alexander live in separate bouts for free from St. Louis, Mo.   That event garnered attention from 195 countries around the world.  Fans logged in via the Internet to watch the fight live.  From Albania to Zagreb, boxing fans were able to watch a fight live that was taking place in the U.S.A.’s Midwest.

Halloween Thrilla—a true Don King extravaganza, live from Las Vegas, the city where dreams are made.  The event will bring a ringside view of the event for a global audience, complete with Don King and celebrities in the world of entertainment watching at ringside.  Don King believes that the Internet is the way to give the fans what they want and is the shape of things to come.  It is the marriage of technology and sport, giving sports fans more choices.

King said, “DonKingTV.com is the people’s network.  Your voice needs to be heard.  Let your voice be heard.  I want all the bloggers and all the boxing fans around the world to help me to help you in bringing boxing back to the people.  I am a promoter of the people, for the people, by the people, and my magic lies in my people ties.  Join me on a treasure hunt at Treasure Island.  Your dreams, too, can come true.  Find your pot of gold at the TI.”

Isaiah:  Like I said before, this card isn't worth paying a dime for, not even with Iron Mike showing up and being his usual self. Let me see non big fights on free "TELEVISION" or just don't waste my time.

pete:  Don King: There was a crooked man, who wore a crooked tie. He walked a crooked mile and smiled a crooked smile...

Earl:  For the price, this is the best PPV card in the last 20 years.

Pete steward:  It's nice to see tyson looking happy and peaceful. As for for King....He's knows where he's going

brownsugar:  the Don is way too vibrant,.. sharp,.. and healthy to be 78yrs old,.. did he sell his soul to the devil?? I would have paid for it,.. but I got caught up playing video games.... before I realized the Agbeko fight was on....

Isaiah:  Hey Pete Steward, are you saying Don should start wearing SPF 1 million degrees? Too bad they don't make one that says please apply directly to the soul. I believe the caption should read something like this... Mike Tyson: Now if you notice that with the older meat, I first have to tenderize it by using one hand to break IT'S hand and I'm about to use my other hand to wring it's kneck. MMM... Now time to baste it in it's own demon juices... MMM,MMM, DELICIOUS!

Isaiah@brownsugar:  "too vibrant,...sharp,...and healthy to be 78yrs old..." What? Haven't you ever seen Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino? (Minus the spitting up blood parts?) Can't underestimate the elderly man. In September, 85 year old Bob Barker hosted that stupid wrestling show. Still, I see your point.
Sunday Nov 1, 2009 03:12:30 PM
brownsugar@Isaiah:  Yeah,.. Clint is still holding it down along with a few others,.. but it's the exception rather than the rule...the Don at nearly 80 years old,.. has a life time of "high stress" living including prison time,.. amazes me,... also Bob Arum(around 80yrs) is not quite ready for the grave either,.. still controlling and manipulating boxing like like Duke presiding over his Fiefdom... pc.....these guys travel hundreds even thousands of miles a month,.. live out of hotels rooms more than most,.. and attend press conferences,.. and still don't have to pop pills in public...

2009 Reader Of The Year Weighs In On Legacies Of Pacquiao And Mayweather
"Pacquiao has proven....in the ring... time and time again that he is the greatest of this time. He has earned his respect. He begs for nothing. He is a man content with his growth, his family and his achievements. A man the world has now turned it's eyes to behold. Floyd Mayweather is not even close in stature. He may possess the greatest skills but he is not the Face of Boxing today. Google Manny Pacquiao. There are 20 million searches. Google Floyd. There are 6.5 million. Look at the NYTimes, the Wall Street Journal and Time. Count how many words were used these past years to mention Floyd Mayweather. Then count the words still being printed about Manny. And keep counting. As I've said many times, Floyd has been too clever by half. He has short changed his public.....and has out-smarted himself. Manny will fight but a few more times. Enjoy it while you can. He is an all time great pugilist. Floyd, with all of his remarkable skills lack the will to be truly great in the biggest sense of the word. His legacy will look more like Holmes that Ali. He has earned it." ---November is half-way gone, but we don't need to keep counting ballots. It's a landslide. Fe'Roz has won the 2009 Reader of the Year award. His comments add to the website immeasurably, and he epitomizes the thoughtful, respectful, educated fan of pugilism we strive to cater to at TSS. Congrats, Fe'Roz, and please accept my thanks for being the valued member of this community that you are. Sincerely, Editor Mike
