Marquez Promises To Target Floyd's Body
EYEWITNESS REPORTS…MARQUEZ IS READY!
“I KNOW WHERE HE’S BEEN HURT AND I’M GOING FOR IT!”
Mexico City, Mex. (July 23) –Reports out of Mexico City, where five-time World Champion Juan Manuel Marquez is back in training for his scheduled September 19 bout (at MGM Grand in Las Vegas and televised live on HBO Pay-Per-View®) against Floyd Mayweather (Mayweather vs. Marquez “Number One/Numero Uno”), confirm that Marquez is bigger, stronger and punching “to the body” harder than ever as he pushes his training regime to new heights in preparation for his ultimate challenge against Mayweather.
Eyewitnesses say it is evident that not only is Marquez bigger, but his training includes a special focus on body work and technique as he looks to defeat the undefeated Mayweather, a six-time World Champion in five weight divisions.
“I know where he’s been hurt and I’m going for it,” said Marquez. “He is vulnerable now and I will take advantage of his weakness with a body attack that emphasizes two things—the right and the left.”
Another testament to this new resolve are his grueling two-hour runs in the mountains of Nevado de Toluca at a staggering elevation of 13,500 feet.
“The mountain is a magic place and gives me the freedom to visualize the night of the fight and how I am going to beat him,” said Marquez. “It is also building my endurance, making my legs stronger and building muscle across my whole body.”
Marquez has also been adding weight as he works through technique in training.
Marquez finished, “I’ve been working gradually with the extra weight, which is going to be pure muscle and make me stronger than ever by the time I step in the ring September 19. Mayweather is going to be the first one to feel the difference.”

If he does really aim for the body, he will eat leather coming in. He is a counter-puncher. I think going for the ribs is useless, I say counter to the head. Make Mayweather fight your fight and that's to make him look for you. But then again, will Mayweather go for it? Might be a boring fight...who will engage first?

I think we will going to see the best JMM but sadly his style won't be enough for FMjr. Speed and size all in favor for FMjr. Foot work will be one major factor of this fight. FMjr can dance while JMM only back pedals if JMM can have at least half of Manny's foot speed he'll have a chance but he doesn't because that's not his style, too late to change it so JMM's fate is already sealed.

Anyone here who boldly asserts that Flo-may-mouth-alot is clearly a disciple of smoke screens, poor decisions and crappy gangsta rap. This boastful man of avarice has been beaten before. It's just that the power plays that shame Las Vegas boxing backed his false decision wins for financial reasons alone. One match I'm sure of that proves this, his first fight with Jose Luis Castillo. Everyone who did not get paid nor resides in Flo's jockstrap knows that it was at best a split decision loss for the mouth clown. Probably the most criminal score cards I've ever seen. All three. I can tell you this, Flo will not stop JMM. He will get hurt. Judges may even be bought off to hand him another shameless win. But everyone will again see him for what he is when facing a true warrior in the ring; a tap dancer wearing puffy gloves that make loud popping noises when he occasionally lands a retreating, glancing blow.

I think Dirrell's footwork looks like he's moving in mud, he leaves openings in his guard, he's not so fast that he can make those kind of mistakes like Roy Jones (even dawson has to keep a tight guard), he doesn't fight with any kind of urgency, and to compare him to someone much lighter, Donaire is like the complete package man (I just saw him fight his 2nd defense of the flyweight title, brilliant, even in southpaw!). Dirrell gonna get "a HURT real bad' ~Russell Peters. Ward Abraham could be the final, or ward froch. Pc out! Tss rules! :)
