Arreola is the top American heavy, so the bullseye is fixed on his forehead. Estrada would like to knock it off.

The Call Out: Jason Estrada To Chris Arreola

Dear Chris,

Congratulations on your win last weekend against Chazz Whitherspoon. I honestly didn’t agree with the referee’s decision to disqualify Chazz. Hell, I really wasn’t impressed by anything you did.

I think it’s time for us to determine who America’s top heavyweight prospect is. There’s been a lot of hype about you being the “Nightmare,” but you’ve never fought anybody quite like “Big Six.”

Chris, I had an understanding that if Chazz had beaten you, he was going to fight me next. I am going to be world heavyweight champion and I’m willing and able to fight anybody who is in my way, including you, Chris. I’m calling you out, brother. I know you want to be heavyweight champ, too, so try and go through me instead of taking the easy way out.

I’ve been minding my business, fighting anybody my promoter Jimmy Burchfield has put in front of me. None of them have had a losing record and the combined record of my opponents when they fought me is 203-73-9. Nine of your 24 opponents had losing records, 256-180-21 overall. There are a lot of cupcakes and tomato cans on your resume. My opponents had a winning percentage of 71-percent, yours is only 56-percent. Can you spell PROTECTED?

I’ve sat back and watched other so-called prospects like you fighting stiff after stiff. And somehow the media has bought into you being the “Nightmare” because you’ve knocked out so many of these guys. You’re a strong club-fighter, that’s it, at least until you beat somebody like me, a boxer whose skills you’ve never been in against.

I have one loss on my record because I was willing to fight in the other guy’s (Travis Walker) hometown. He had 20 pro fights, I only had six, and I hurt my shoulder early in the fight. Yet, I still almost pulled off a victory.

I’m ready to fight you to prove I’m America’s No. 1 heavyweight hope. Chris, let’s make it happen. All of the top rated heavyweights are tied up for months, anyway. Who’s out there for you other than more ready-made opponents?

Styles make fights and fans always love to watch a puncher like you fight a boxer like me. Supposedly, I can’t punch, so just get into the ring with me and find out what I have -- great whiskers and the fastest hands in our division.

You’re supposed to be the “Nightmare.” Try and scare me; I dare you, Chris.

Sincerely,

Jason “Big Six” Estrada
2004 U.S. Olympian
Future World Heavyweight Champion

Radam G:  Wow! Jason "Big Six" Estrada is still little six in tact. After he got his butt whipped in the Olympic Games, he made an off-the-wall comment. Now he is bad mouthing Chris and calling him out. Chris has bigger fish to fry. He will be a title belt holder. And he doesn't need the trash talking from a fatty lazy with marshmallow punches. Go for the other Nightmare. Take out Samuel Peter. Let Big Six fight Big Seven -- the Russian giant Valuev, or something like that. Holla!

959 Santa:  I'd like to see the Nightmare vs. John Ruiz. After the Nightmare dispose's of Ruiz a shot against one of the belt holders should fall right in line. I have heard of Jason Estrada's name being mentioned on ESPN but have not seen him fight.
Tuesday Jun 24, 2008
Oliver Boleslaw:  I don't ever want to see John Ruiz again. Not even if he were delivering me the news that I'd won the Powerball Lottery. $300 million is not enough to watch a Ruiz hugfest ever again. I've seen all the John Ruiz I can take for one lifetime.
Tuesday Jun 24, 2008
Smiley C:  I Roger that, Oliver. No more Ruiz. Fo' sure!

Butch:  I'm liking Estrada more and more every time I see him fight. He is in my opinion the best US heavweught prospect out there, with Eddie Chambers a close second, not Arreola. It's only right they fight all fight each other.

rudy:  All about the Nightmare showdown, Arreola-Peter. Estrada blows, he'll get exposed and his ass whooped by Chris.

The Watcher:  Man its bad enough that as hopefull as we are of Chris, that we have to see that nighmarish grill along with that body built on Krispy Kreams & Tecate beer. Man if it wasn't for the k/o's he would be hard to look at. But know we have another guy with the same freakish look & donut body talking smack? come on man knock somebody out at least every other fight & maybe I will be able to look at you. Oh by the way, you were beat by a guy who was built for "ah prospects" who are supposed to beat guys like that!. PLEASE Jason drop the name big six, I look at you & there isn't anything that I can relate that name with you. Chris on the other hand with a mug like that "Nightmare" fits him well.

Anonymous user:  LOL watcher-- these two fell out the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. BUT Arreola has stamina despite his fluffiness. Saw him go to war with Malcom Tann for 8 rounds and he never let off the gas. Haye, Arreola, Povetkin, Peter --- we're accumulating some punchers finally in the hvt division

andy from newcastle:  Give him another eighteen months to develop, try out some tougher opposition (oh please give us a match up with Fast Eddie), and most importantly, work on that stamina, which seemed to be lacking towards the end of his last outing on FNF (perhaps he could conserve some energy by not talking constantly throughout his fights. Just a thought Kevin), and I (boldly) predict, that Kevin Johnson will be the next great American heavyweight. Of course, I said the same about Dominique Guinn a few years back, and we all know what happened there. Toonoy

Jonny:  Wow.... This kid Estrada sure talks a lot of trash. Chris has fought two undefeated fighters one of them considered a legitimate prospect by many. How many undefeated fighters or legitimate fighters has Estrada fought, 0. Look Estrada instead of counting Chris' opponents record you should worry about your record you have only knocked out three guys out of a possible 13. (now that's sad, if you want to call your self future heavyweight champion). Estrada do you remember William Hosea, Reggie Gross, Mitch Green, Steve Zouski? (I don't think so) Does are they guys Mike Tyson fought after his 20th fight and guess what nobody cares about there records we remember those spectacular k.o.'s by Mike. Maybe you ought to tell your promoter to give you an easy fight since you're having trouble knocking out these serious contenders such as: Lance Whitaker, Charles Shufford, Robert Hawkins.

Ralf:  Jonny, I see you and most of these boneheads on here do not follow boxing much. Jay has fought an undefeated fighter and a few with only 1 loss. His hands are much faster and he has developed a much stronger punch since his olympic days. Arreola is an overwieght bum. Chazz Witherspoon is an over reated bum. Arreola hits hard, but he cant hit what he can't see. He will not touch Jay. He will be completely winded by the 6th. You know nothing about boxing. Stick to fight night on your playstation chump.

Jonny:  Ralf, Travis Walker? Ring a bell? Oh yeah that's the guy who gave Estradas his first loss. Before Estrada starts disrespecting he better listen "Clear your debt kid (loss) before talking trash online (real brave stuff) so tell the kid to work on his punch because he’s only knocked out 20% of his opponents. The last professional boxer I saw talking trash online was Edison Miranda and we all know what happen to him. I agree with you saying Jason has a bit faster hands just like Chazz Witherspoon and we all know what happen to Chazz; however the hard-hitting crowd pleaser is Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola. That's why you don't see Estrada fighting on HBO or stirring a buzz as contender when it comes to professional boxing. Before you start calling Arreola an overweight bum; check how much your boy Estrada came in breaking the scale at when he lost to a nobody; by the way it was 257 lbs., Chris is 6'4 and Jason is 6'1 ... Jason looked like that fat boy from Superbad that night. You said Chazz Whiterspoon is an overrated rated bum (by the way learn how to spell chump it's rated; not reated; also it's overweight not overwieght). Go ask most boxing fans and experts and most will agree by saying Chazz Whiterspoon is a legitimate prospect, just like your boy Estrada. The only difference between Estrada and Arreola at this point is Arreola is an undefeated contender and Estrada is a prospect with a loss just like Whiterspoon.

Old, But Not In The Way
"I did some researching. Hopkins is the oldest light heavy -- at 41 -- to ever win a respected sanctioning organization title belt. However, his hero, the late great, Archie "The Old Mongoose" Moore would have him beat, if Archie didn't lie about his age so much. Archie's boxing age when he won won his belt was 36. He official age -- listed on his passport -- was 39. But his actual age was 43, according to his mother, in 1953, and his aunt -- at the time 100 years old -- in 1991. I spoke to Archie in 1995 in San Diego, Ca., and he confirmed 43. I asked him why did he lie about his age, and he said age was held against a fighter more than color." ---TSS reader/citizen-journalist Radam likens Hopkins to Ole Archie
