Pacquiao-Morales III Fight Predictions
Live Saturday night from the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada (HBO PPV), Manny Pacquiao meets Erik Morales for the third bout of their classic trilogy. Tijuana’s El Terrible (48-4, 34 KOs) beat Pac-Man (42-3-2, 32 KOs), from General Santos City, The Philippines, to the punch in their first go-round, but it was close, whereas Manny turned the tables in the rematch and handed Morales his first loss by KO. Now the two warriors meet in the rubber match, with one fighter (Pacquiao) on the ascendant, at the top of his game, and the other fighter (Morales) hoping to regain his former status as one of Mexico’s premier fistic assassins. This is how The Sweet Science writers see Pacquiao-Morales III.
There's little reason to believe this rubber match will be any different than the rematch. Morales appeared old, tired and used up. Pacquiao is at the top of his game. That said, don't be surprised if this one is a little more competitive than the last one. Morales, with his new training regimen, may use the jab more. But the bottom line is that he doesn't have the stamina to last with a whirlwind like Pac-Man. Every great fighter has his day. Saturday will be a sad one for the great "El Terrible." Pacquiao TKO 11. Matthew Aguilar
Expect Pacquiao do a demolition job on a shot Morales. Morales will probably fight well for three rounds but the drop in weight is too much for the aging warrior who will go out on his shield between rounds eight and ten. Peter M. Carvill
It's a good idea not to go against Pac-Man. I won't say Erik Morales is washed up or is a has-been, but the smart money is still on Manny for at least the decision. Jesse K. Cox
Despite his new training methods, I think losing the weight is still going to come up and bite Morales in the behind somewhere around the ninth or tenth round. It seems tougher every fight for him to get down to 130. If he even gets there for this fight. I'm picking Pacquiao to stop Morales sometime after the tenth. If Morales comes in at 133 and they still fight, all bets are off. Rick Folstad I feel Morales knows how to beat Pac-Man since he's done it in the past. This will be all up to conditioning for Morales. Everything I've been hearing regarding the Morales camp is extremely positive so I'm predicting a unanimous decision win for "El Terrible" who will try to take Pacquiao to school. Ralph Gonzalez
Here comes another shootout, and it's one I just can't see Morales winning. Pac Man in 9. Randy Gordon
Morales has lost something along the way and Manny Pac is still picking up steam. The weight loss and years of hard battles have taken their toll. "Pac Man" will soundly defeat "El Terrible" and I'll bravely say by brutal 8th round stoppage. Amy Green
All things being equal the younger, stronger fighter should prevail. Not that the issue of Erik Morales fighting Manny Pacquiao in November of 2006 speaks to equality, balance and indistinguishable terms for our referencing. Morales, mentally worn at 30, seeks to reconstitute himself for the rubber match with Manny Pacquiao. He's taken his body down to weight scientifically. He believes he's a new man at 130. Pacquiao, who reversed a decision lost with a stoppage win in the rematch, will be hoping to better his own best performance, playing the faster, more powerful hitting soldier of fortune. Neither man is afraid of the other. Morales will have to erase Pacquiao's advantages applying tactical brilliance, something he's disdained in the last four mega fights he's contested. No one tells Morales how to win; he's closed his door to adaptive impulses, or so it seems. We are ripe for a surprise; but, Pacquiao's a superstitious guy. He's ready for something magical from Morales, one last flight toward greatness. The Philippine star and Freddie Roach are ready, waiting, solutions laced up. They are not about to be surprised. Or so they have been saying." Patrick Kehoe
If things hold to form this one could be decided by respective expertise of the combatants' cutmen. Barrera has a lot of miles on him, and I expect Pacquiao to prevail if one of them doesn't bleed to death first. If Pac-Man doesn't win it's probably an indication that those rumors of less-than-dedicated out-of-the-ring stuff may be true. George Kimball
In short, this one is too close to call. Morales appears to be shedding the weight comfortably, while Pac-Man is still in prime form. I'm going out on a limb: Draw. Evan Korn
You can't help but love a fight like Pacquiao – Morales. Both are fighters in every sense of the word and will bring their all to this battle. Morales has worked hard to get his weight and training right which makes the fight that much more appealing. The question is, just what does he have left? Pacquiao is in his prime which is why I'm leaning towards him winning a decision victory. The Filipino has it all and Morales is going to have to fight the fight of his life if he wants the win. Morales winning might be better for boxing as it would open up a host of other bouts but it's hard to bet against the Pacman. Manny Pacquiao via unanimous decision...or late round TKO. Scott Mallon
Morales' well-documented weight problems could come back to haunt him in this fight. The always charging PacMan should be able to stop him even sooner than he did last time. Pacquaio TKO 9. Robert Mladinich
Erik Morales has the blueprint to beat Manny Pacquiao. He showed it conclusively (though not to the populace of Manila) the first time they fought, much like Juan Manuel Marquez did after he was nearly vaporized by Pac in the first round: He moved side-to-side -- hands high -- behind an educated left jab and lead rights, keeping Pac off-balance and frustrated -- reducing him to hail-Mary lefts. Pac came back with a vengeance in the return, armed with a newly-developed right hook, courtsey of Freddie Roach, and duplicated what he did to Marco Antonio Barrera: shocked, beat-up, beat-down and left him in ruins. Whether it was “El Terrible’s” hubris or being weight-drained is for Monday morning quarterbacks. The defeat for Morales was so crushing; any thought of matching the two again would have been cruel and inhuman punishment. Manny put a period to Erik’s career, with an exclamation point. But, here we are again Saturday night for the rubber match. After being made to look like a wooden Indian against Zahir Raheem and the annihilation at Manny’s hands, most think the shell of Erik will be butchered even earlier. I don’t. Morales is a proud, proud man, seething to show Barrera and the world who’s best. Like Floyd Patterson that put the decimation by Ingmar Johansson behind him and stretched Ingo in the return, I think Morales will return to cold-blooded form, take charge, use his five-inch reach advantage and win convincingly. My heart’s with Manny. My instinct’s with Morales. Joe Rein
Morales heads into his latest rubber match hoping to forget about the worst defeat of his career in which Pacquaio did the unthinkable and sent him down and out for the first time. He blamed his weight struggles as the reason for ending up on the canvas and he's confident he can handle Pacquaio's electrifying speed as he did in their first contest. The problem is that Morales isn't getting any younger and has to make the junior lightweight limit once more, which will surely take its toll. Look for Pacquaio to be too much for the aging Morales, with his speed, movement, and punching power once again proving to great an obstacle to overcome. Morales won't go easily though as he's still a dangerous foe and his valiant effort should make for an intriguing fight. Pacquaio by unanimous decision. Benn Schulberg
I cannot find a reason to pick Morales, especially after his last two fights. Another KO victory by Pacquiao looms. Ed Schuyler
Having lost three of his last four fights, one wonders what Erik Morales has left. While I do not think he is a shot fighter, he will not silence any naysayers on Saturday night. Manny Pacquiao by decision Aaron Tallent
A fight where you put on your Mr. T mask and predict "pain." Pac-Man and El Terrible are so close in "styles make classics" status that it may come down to something like whoever fits the weight easier. In this case it appears to be Pacquiao. Phil Woolever

ok, here we go another evento to see whose the best fighter on their division, lets not forget that morales is still a dangerous foe, he might have something in his mind to defeat pacman, we just have to wait for the real score above the ring..lets not also forget dirty tactics that might apply in order to disable your opponent thus making an advantege on the fight and a weak point on the other fighter....example..a headbutt, eye injury if one of them got this one..it will be a disadvantage and an advantage on the other one.......hope this one will not happen else it will be a disappointing fight........im fo rmanny..but lets not forget that they have an even score and a fight to settle......

This is the fight I was saving my $50 for.I had the chance to go the first-ever UFC PPV in Sacramento this weekend, but when I found it was the same weekend as Pac-Morales I had to take a pass. This will be a great rivalry weekend Michigan-Ohio St.,Cal-USC and of course Mexico vs.the Philippines.I'll go with my heart instead of my head and predict El Terible by decision.

i believe that Velocity is substituting Food for Morales without the calories and fat..and consists of mostly liquid energy boosters..but there is the doubt that the science eould work quite well only if it were given a bit more time for the cells to adapt into..the body could only take so much..

Guys, why on earth are you expecting Morales to clinch an upset when in their first fight he was just able to win by a Unanimous Decision to say winning by only a round against an opponent who got headbutted and fighting literally with one eye and was humiliated and mowed down in their second fight? As I have said before it is a mismatch.

morales - tactical and accurate, long reach and height advantage. if velocity performs its marvels on him making weight and sustaining stamina and scoring up to the 8-9 round like the first fight, he will can win by decision. advice - avoid the brawl
Pacquaio - aggressive and powerful punches, extremely vicious and has great stamina to last the bouts. If he doesnt backpedal when attacked and return punch for punch,(and directs it to where it can hurt most - the body in the early rounds) he will win by KO. advice - attack all through-out the rounds.

In Australia it is spring. The football codes have had their finals, we await cricket. Making sports news is horse racing and golf, the spring carnival.
I have my own spring carnival - boxing, the sport of kings, fought to the steady beat of AC/DC tunes.
Floyd Mayweather's decisive victory over 'Baldy' was the warm-up. Klitschko's expected knockout over Brock was the preliminary.
Pac Man against El Terrible is the main event of boxing's spring carnival.
This fight should remind all what the spring carnival is about. I expect Manny to win by late round knockout. Morales fights with the cool of a hitman wearing a three piece suit, deadly grace, but the hit man is aging, starved and tired.
As the late Bon Scott once sang, 'Bring on the dancing girls and pour the champaign on ice. I'm going in to Sin City.'
Manny has the key to the city. He walks with evil, care of the devil, and the suave hitman's three piece suit will be blotted with blood.

Having read so much about these two great warriors and the trainings they underwent, predicting the outcome is more simple. Many have withnessed Manny in his camp and they were all amazed by his agility and strength, sparring all the time with Mexican middleweights. On the contrary, no word was ever spoken out from Erik's camp except from insiders. Pacman should prevail even before round 8.

i saw the last two fights, Bring It On: Morales is impressive in his boxing skills on the first fight but still im not convince the way he defeated pac-man considering pacman is blooded, forget about the distractions made by his promoter, forget about the gloves. Unanimous decision 113-115. How will you rate his superb skills the way he scores the first fight. Here comes the rematch The Battle: If Morales knows how to beat Pacman, why he was almost down to the canvass in the second round,it was only the friendly boxing ropes who saved him. Where is his boxing skill, for me it would be like the 13th round from the first 12 rounds of the first bout if morales uses his mind. Now we're almost closing the last chapter of their war, the 3rd finest boxing war between Mexico and Philippines. The Grand Finale: I know for sure Morales has all the reason to win in order for him to stay in the elite group of world boxing champions, but he also might be thinking of retiring, like other class A boxer of thier time of down. This is a good fight, worth to see,but i'll go for manny pacman. His speed, strength, endurance, younger age is the key of this fight. Boxing is not all about superb skills, even if your mind perfectly dectating what you r going to do but your body cant do it for long,it ends up KO. You'll never know you're in the canvass already but your mind is still fighting. Goodluck Morales hope you will not be booed.

in morales-pacquiao I & II i didn't see morales was able to tire & rock pacquiao even with his head injury in their 1st match. in those bouts morales was able to connect a lot of clear and very impressive looking shots with no apparent effect on pacquiao. maybe just to impress the judges(classic technic) but not pacman. morales received a few, unimpressive but head & body rocking shots from the pacman. the judges may not have noticed it but morales did, of course that's why he knelt in the tenth round of II. if morales can deliver those kind of shots this time he might be able to put the pacman on his knees. or he could keep the impressive looking less powerful shots up to 12th to win. pacman by late tko or morales (if he can survive the distance) by unanimous decision.

If morales will play the game in early round then he has trouble and be KO before 7th round. (Play the game means he act like a boxer and not a gay.)
If morales plays safely, jab, jab, jab, straight, jab then run... Maybe it's time for morales to go back in scholl and not pacman. If this happen, manny will still win a Unanimous Decision.
Morales GO, GO, GO in early round so you'll be KO at 7.

Morales to be able to win should summon all the aztec gods to be with him on fight night. With all the hype on his velocity training stuff, its undeniable that science indeed really works but this time around you can't turn back the hands of time. I see the fight to go to distance. I believe Morales can make the weight and I also believe that morales trained double for this fight. Morales will jab, jab and stick the jab. Morales will move side to side and play it smarter this time around. On the other side Manny will throw different punches coming in all direction and firing like a shotgun, he'll move forward and also side to side. The question is who has the bigger will and the heart to win? I believe both of them have it but let not one forget that Manny said that I'm doing this for my country while Morales said that I'm doing this for my self. My prediction is rounds 10-12 KO or UD for Manny Pacman.

Erik Morales is slowly going down. His stamina to out box, out run the younger, fast, strong Pacquiao will eventually be seen in the six and seven. Morales will be down in the six and finally kiss the floor for good in the seventh round. The Morales Camp said that Erik is much more better in terms of skills and techniques...For me i\'ve seen the 1st match and the 2nd match...I respect Morales as a future hall of famer but im not really convinced of that his camp said that he\'s much better than Manny..
Why??
]
1st,if u look in their 1st match..Morales win by a UD (113-115)Yes he won but look at Manny\'s situation at that time...He\'s suffering from a accidental headbutt that form a cut that covering his eye with blood... And still he CANT KO/TKO manny and only won w/ 2points against Pacman....What will happen to Erik if he got the cut on his eye instead of manny cause by a accidental headbutt??Manny can just bring him down easily...And on the 12th round Manny got alive and puts it on Morales...Erik got nearly KO there...But he survived
On the Second fight,PACQUIAO destroyed MORALES on a 10th Round TKO...Manny is the 1st boxer to TKO Morales and they have the guts to say that Erik\'s technique is much BETTER than Manny....hahaha..Poor Erik..
So my prediction of this fight is a win by TKO by Manny between 9th-11th round...

Ok, here we go, erik has "technical capabilities", however, his age, weight shedding problems, and his last fight losing 12 rounds unanimous decision to "raheem" shows me yes he can go, but not past 11 rounds.Sorry Erik! The pac-man has learned from his first fight with morales, clearly destroyed morales in the second fight, and now is more stronger, more technical, and more quick then morales.
I predict the pac man to use the jab Alot and go to the body ALOT, and mix up good straights and hooks to head, then, after round 7 , he will hit the bladder punch on erik morale\'s body, known as "THE MANILLA ICE"

Both have trained well, but Erik Morales did more just to get to 130lbs. That is just a big handicap to start with, psychologically Manny has the edge because he already believes he can handle Morales. Manny KOs Erik in the later rounds after Erik wins majority of the early rounds due to superior boxing skills, technique and size advantage. The later rounds will be decisive as Erik tires due to excessive weight loss coupled with Manny\'s relentless attacking style and body punches. KO by the 10th round.

Almost a year later after Morales was at the hospital missing his press con after the fight. Today he actually looks pretty darn good and has forgotten about his last beating. Has a chance to win providing he does not get a solid hit from the Pacman the chances for this happening slim to non. Once Morales gets the solid hit the brain starts remmembering the pain and the body begins to take its toll and the legs starts to buckle specially when your fighting under your weight class Morales is actually a 140lbs fighter. The greed of Bob Arum convincing Morales to fight at 130lbs could hurt Morales because the Pacman will be swinging for the fence once that bell rings. enjoy the fight

It\'s going to be the toughest fight for both prized fighters. For the first three (3) rounds, Morales will try to unleash his famous jabs to prevent Pacman from charging in. On the other hand, Manny will be contented to throw his vastly improved right hook and try to invest on the body of El Terrible. But barring any accidental or intentional head butting and even if the velocity program of Erik will gonna help him, Pacquiao cannot be denied. The crushing effects of the faster and stronger hands of Pacman will be felt by the aging Aztec starting on the 6th to 8th round. After that, all that Manny has to do is to be careful, but still keep on charging in. Certainly, the Man from Tijuana will try to summon the heart of the champion, but he cannot turn the tide anymore to his favor. As the song goes - "Goodbye, I hate to see you go, but have a goodtime". After that, it\'s about time for Morales and Barrera to confer about and compare their respective performances shown against the great Pinoy Fighter.
With all humility, Manny will say - "Ako ang Tatapos" in a Visayan accent. A stoppage in round 9 or 10 for the PACMAN.

Most of your guys are saying Pacman - Pacman. Let's not forget that Morales has also the punch and experience. If he can do the M. Ali's style running and jabbing, and Pacman gots frustrated during the fight, he will surely will loose the fight. But if Morales mixed it up with the Pinoy boxer, Hello, you will quit between the 7th and 10th round. A white towel will be thrown inside the ring. And to all the Filipinos like me who are praying and hoping that our boxer will win, let us not forget that Morales is also a Son of God like us. We must accept defeat, and in turn congratulate Morales. For without Morales, Pacquiao will not be a superstar. May the best and lucky boxer win.

The way Erick's camp is feeding the media of his new training (diet) for the saturday\'s fight is quite intriguing. I think everyone\'s in for a big suprise, if there really is. His hi-tech training scheme in Velocity and his fierce comments about Manny attest to his eagerness to get back the pride or atleast keep afficionados\' respect on him as one of the greatest boxers of his time. If all these press releases are just to hype up his match with Pacman, as strategy for him not to appear that way underdog, then he is bound to exit his career on a bad note. And if he is really coming out with a big surprise much to the worry of Manny's fans and betters, everybody's indeed on the way for one of the greatest fights in boxing history. History shows that Manny is trully a great fighter. Maybe not as intelligent as El Telibre with his technical skills during his prime, but as an exciting boxer who would learn from his mistakes and easily adopt a new weapon or two to his arsenal. That makes him a certified crowd drawer. We\'ve seen Manny train, sparring everyday with bigger and heavier Mexicans at Freddie Roach's Wildcard Gym, we see nothing at how Erick do his punches at his camp. We see Pacman being hit by 2"x2" staff to make his body and arms hard as a rock, we see nothing how El Telibre makes his frame tougher to absorb Manny's poweful punches. All we hear of Erick is that he is confident that he is gonna beat the Filipino sensation taking much credit to his scientific weight training amidst speculation that his weight problems might take its toll when the fight go to distance. We cant easily predict who would win or go home a loser, it's hard to make early results as there is no certainty who would prevail between these two warriors. But if existing factors should be considered: age, winning trend, power-Manny is the better bet.
On the lighter note. When WWE went to Manila last month former Smackdown Heavyweight Champion Dave Batista aka The Animal, being Filipino-American, expressed desire to be part of Manny Pacquiao\'s entourage in the Finale. Worst case scenario is the Pacquiao-Morales third encounter would be a brawl between professional wrestlers on the opening ceremenomy just after the legendary Michael Buffer is heard with his famous " ....Aaaare you ready to rumbleeeeee!!! because King Booker and Finley would come up the ring and tries to smash down the Animal..hehehe.

pacman and morales has both hands ready comes fight time, so anything goes. but the problem is, if we get better as we grow older, in boxing it is different' you get worse as you grow older. although one lucky punch can still end a fight, with these two boxers who got the experience, heart and chin of rock, that lucky punch is more likely out of question. with all in consideration, pacquiao to win either by UD, MD, SD, TKO or KO.

By the way, when his brother lost last night this will be some sort of revenge for Manny come November 18th. Pacquiao will KO Morales in 9th round.

Look,
Most of you need to go to HBO On Demand and watch the first two fights again. In the first, Morales clearly outboxes the Pacman. Though the judges scored the bout close, its Manny that is taking the harder shots and getting rocked far worse than Morales. In the second...well I'm just tired of hearing everyone's judgment that Erik is obviously shot in that fight. WATCH THE FIGHT CLOSELY!! About thirty seconds into round 6, Manny nails Erik with a punch that breaks Erik's nose. You can HEAR it break! I believe, as I recall, that Larry Merchant remarks about ten seconds later that "Morales has gone through a very tough 10 or 12 seconds right here" or somethign to that effect. Morales, who was again clearly winning that fight to that point is NOT the same fighter after that moment. He was, I believe, KTFO right then and there, but he is SUCH a tough badass that it took him four rounds more to realize it. No one in the last 10 months has commented on this on any site that I look at regularly and I have to wonder why, because the after that punch and the several following, Morales is obviously out on his feet and unable to box effectively. Any one can get caught like this when fighting on a world championship level and such a punch from a Puncher like Pacman can and will change a fight and has changed many throughout the years. This doesn't mean that the fighter that gets caught is "shot" or "finished" at all. Especially a fighter of Erik's mental fortitude. Expect Erik to, at the very least, put on an excellent boxing clinic and to land numerous VERY hard punches even if he loses this fight. I guarantee that even if Pacman prevails tomorrow evening, Morales will leave an admirable example of Mexican pride for all of us to remember......but I think he's ready to kick some _____ again. Watch out Manny, don't underestimate this man!

So much has been said. If I am to believe... its Pacman by KO from middle to late rounds. My prediction is based on facts which I would no longer elaborate here coz someone somehow already said it all collectively. Of course, contradictory arguements has also been raised but I guess most of them are just blinded by their allegiance to an old Morales of the past and not more on what is the bold truth that is laid before them.
To make my point clear, If Morales happens to be the Filipino and Pacquiao the Mexican and me being a true blooded Filipino... I will still go for the Pacman. You see, we Filipinos not only love Manny because of the blood that runs on his veins but because he is a phenom that taking the boxing world under his feet. Vini Vidi Vici --- He came, He saw and He conquered.
Not only he got the LOOK of an smiling assasin, the exciting STYLE that never fails to entertain, the POWER of a powerful tornado... but also the CHARM of a preacher and the rare ATTITUDE that tops them all.
Morales badmouthing every possible way he can while Pacquiao on his usual mild demeanor-a boyish grin and polite manner. Heck! Make no mistake about it... IT'S A CALM BEFORE THE STORM!!!. Wait until you see.
Long live Alpha Phi Omega!!!

excellent point SteveC!!! Im wit u on that Morales is not done!!! like u said in the 1st fight he had landed the harder shots and beat him up like no one else has in PacMan\'s career! Same thing the 1st half of the 2nd fight, he dominated early with excellent boxing and effective hard punching!!!! I see Morales winning by UD or if he comes out stronger than ever with the same speed bc of Velocity it could be a brutal beat down for Manny!!! Morales, the true Mexican Warrior will show up and shut all you up and show why he is the top dog at 130!!!! Morales pendejos!!!!!!!!!!

i don\'t know if these people really watched the first 2 encounters...its obvious that in the first fight, morales won because he fought a man who can see with only 1 eye and wearing an uncomfortable gloves!!! nevertheless, pacman still showed a fight and should the fight be continued up to 15th round morales could have been downed!!! he\'s wobbling when he faced (one-eyed)pacman toe to toe on the3 latter rounds...On the 2nd fight, morales dominated the 1st 5 rounds?? did he?? well he almost got knocked down in the 2nd if not for those reflexes he had to hold the rope!!! he did boxed in the first 5 rounds but he did.nt dominated it...he\'s hitting pacman but is he hurting him??? Pacman showed him the real punch in the 10th round...not just boxed morales but he hurt the ël terrible \'terribly that he knelt down in front of pacman till it was stopped...morales NEVER hurt pacman...he did hit pacman but it did\'nt hurt him...i also saw that in their first fight, pacman is just too strong to resist morales\'punches...expect morales to show up his surprises on saturday??? of course...its boxing dude...he will not go up the ring just to stand there...he will box like there\'s no tomorrow...he will do everything to win because that\'s the reason why he\'s been training and be starved for 4 months just to meet the weight...and if he losses,that\'s the end of him...morales\'camp has been bragging his hardships in loosing weight...that\'s really hard for him but nothing is more difficult than what pacman had undergone as a kid who grew up selling donuts in the street...would there be really some surprises from morales???well i think thats basically it...box like there;s no tomorrow coz if he losses there\'s no tomorrow in his career.. expect the best out of morales on saturday but thats just not enough for pacman who will be fighting with 2 clear eyes(not unless moraless would headbutt him),a pair of punchers gloves, lightning speed, stamina,a never say die heart, and the new techniques he has been preparing for...its a lopsided victory for pacman...either by ko or by a convincing UD

ohh what can i say i really think this will be a very close match and both fighters have been training really hard for this fight and who will ever win will be better. but i back manny he\'s just got the speed and the power if he uses that in the fight very well i think this fight will be over early, erik is just too slow he cant cope the speed of manny, but i think erik will suprise manny but it won\'t do anything. so i think 11 round ko to pacman, we are all praying for u manny!

Looking through my hanging crystal balls, I see the man with "no fear" winning. . . I see a white towel (with blood splatters) being thrown . . . . the proud opponent from a proud race down. This man tried to bring back the hands of time with scientific training. . . but the tornado puncher just kept on coming. . .I see the flag of white and blue waving . . . the winner, looking a little cross eyed, grinning. . . I can see many people go up the ring . . . . to win? . . i'm confused . . . Ahh, ok, they are politicians wanting to be seen . . . by their constituents in the . . . . . . Philippines.

You guys make a nice point, Pacquiao will lose in Morales's dreams while he's dreaming from a first round tko from a straight left from Pacquiao. Its not about Morales's weight drop or Morales's technical skills. Whatever the excuses from the first 2 fights. Its all about the speed. After the speed comes power. .I had this appreciation of Eric\\\'s skill, but he is not capable of hurting Manny. Its just that he is the kind of fighter that can easily get the judges\\\' nod no matter how he is being outpunch in vol. of hits by Manny. Eric is a sentimental favorite not only of the judges but mostly among the boxing media and commentators.
Now, he reasons out that it bcoz of weight problem why he get tired early. MY GOONESS, this was his problem too when he defeated Pacquiao on their 1st fight .RIGHT INDEED!.Yet he never complained coz he won.He was able to take advantage of Pacquiao, due to his cut w/c make him fight Eric with one eye.
I believe in EXCUSES. Manny\\\'s problem with his management then,he again went another blood test a day before the fight,he loss blood due to headbutt, all these contributed to manny\\\'s defeat. I do believe what others are saying, if it happened that Eric suffered that headbutt, cut in the upper of his eye, then manny would easily defeat him. Eric has all the odds favoring him on their 1st fight but he didnt able to stop Pacquiao. He only won by a slight margin- something which is not worthy of praise for a great great boxer who has the advantage of having a longer reach, height, better fighter, against a smaller and not great fighter in the person of Manny. NOW, the Pacmans excuses were justified on their rematch. Eric was terible defeated and stop by Pacquiao. ON the rubbermatch I do belive Eric will show his best but still I favor Manny to win.

Due to the time that Erik had to make weight, I think this time will not be a repeat of the rematch. I think this time we will see a more technical fight, with see-saw action throughout the match. This will probably end in either a draw or a razor thin decision - for whoever is hungrier. In this match, I think Erik Morales is the hungrier of the two.

morales maybe faster, stronger this time. his training made him that. he fought a lot of sparring partners, i just hope one of them is as fast and powerful as pacman. but still he lack one very essential thing, still he can't fly like pacman. pacquiao has the powerful calves that helps him strut faster making the appearance that he can float while punching. his jump-punches are silent killers. i believe it's his big advantage. it is these unorthodox punching, although cannot impressed the judges much, are taking big tolls on his opponents. the good thing with morales is he can deliver weaker but very good-looking punches. another good thing with morales is he has the judges and referee on his side (even the review cameras). the good thing with pacman is he has only his heart and strength to rely on. end of round 12 is an absolute defeat. NO SCORECARDS PACMAN "GO FLY FOR THE ABSOLUTE KILL".

after all is said and done in this great finale, I salute the greatness of boxing champrions erik morales and manny pacquiao. their superb conditioning and their intense rivalry have brought new heights in professional boxing. but whether we like it or not the 3rd man in the ring is not only the referee but MR. TIME. Most often it is sympathetic with the young. the older must exit, as honorably as possible. Others refuse because of false pride and their $$$ adoration but after the count of 10 on the canvass, they would know that one.s boxing carrier is already fading with the sunset. its pacman by 9th round KO. he will also have his own destiny on or before 3 years from now when a boxer of his caliber now will challenge and put him on canvass like what he will do to morales. today morales tomorrow pacman! in that order.

Round 1 - Manny Attacks to check reflexes... Round 2 - Body Punches ay magpapabagal at sasaktan si Morales, making him drop his hands. Round 3 - Baka kay Morales to, pero Pacquiao will just observe Morales\' strength kung makakayanan nya, after recovering that... Round 4 - Manny will regain upbeat, ulo, abdominal areas, Round 5 - Depende na kay Manny kase dito na magiistart mag wear off at mag rattle/disorganize si erik - tapos palagay ko, TKO na si Erik sa Round 7, 8 or 9... at ito na ang pinaka mataas na aabutin ng kalaban. magiging OVERWHELMED si erik sa bilis, power, tactic, at inspiration ni Manny, plus, disturbed si erik sa TKO nya from last fight... He will be psyched out!!!!! - ito magpapatumba sa kanya.... Mabuhay ka manny, mabuhay ang sambayanang Pilipinom - FROM The BASILAN PACMAN WANNABES! Morales sat still with his tail between his jelly legs on the third round... THIRD ROUND!! Hats off to you morales, but i'm sorry amigo, you got served there... Pacquiao is a typical Filipino street fighter, give em a nudge and you'll get hole under the ribs... the more morales punches, the greater fury he'll receive from pacman... Barerra, watch out... you're next... better send those titles via courier to save you from total humiliation.... (oh look, he's sweating now...) harhahrahrahrahrahrahrharhrharharhar!!!!! Iho de f(r)utas!!!! hahahahaha

Well, there you have it. Nobody predicted a third round stoppage of Erik Morales. Marco Antonio Barrera, time to step up and make PacMan-Barrera II happen; or do you want to hide again behind your people?

to: Ralp Gonzales, now is the time to send Erik Morales to school and learn how to speak English, PACKMAN deserved it all, not only of his showed stregnth and speed, above it all he humbly recognizes God\'s power in his life. God is always his first resourse and his last recourse. MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS.... MABUHAY KA MANNY PACQUIAO!

with pacmans performance at the grand finale i wonder if barrera has the guts to try again for the 2nd time. the strong legs and oscillating iron punches is just too much to gamble.

Here are the facts- power punches that the Pac Man landed twice that of Morales, El terrible suffered 2 knockdowns in the second round and a KO in the third. To all those who doubted my boy Manny and still do after this, take a number, fall in line along with those they call great mexican boxers, and step into the ring with manny. Just make sure you bring your jammies and an extra set of teeth because you\'re in for a long sleep- toothless. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Mabuhay ang mga PILIPINO.

2009 Reader Of The Year Weighs In On Legacies Of Pacquiao And Mayweather
"Pacquiao has proven....in the ring... time and time again that he is the greatest of this time. He has earned his respect. He begs for nothing. He is a man content with his growth, his family and his achievements. A man the world has now turned it's eyes to behold. Floyd Mayweather is not even close in stature. He may possess the greatest skills but he is not the Face of Boxing today. Google Manny Pacquiao. There are 20 million searches. Google Floyd. There are 6.5 million. Look at the NYTimes, the Wall Street Journal and Time. Count how many words were used these past years to mention Floyd Mayweather. Then count the words still being printed about Manny. And keep counting. As I've said many times, Floyd has been too clever by half. He has short changed his public.....and has out-smarted himself. Manny will fight but a few more times. Enjoy it while you can. He is an all time great pugilist. Floyd, with all of his remarkable skills lack the will to be truly great in the biggest sense of the word. His legacy will look more like Holmes that Ali. He has earned it." ---November is half-way gone, but we don't need to keep counting ballots. It's a landslide. Fe'Roz has won the 2009 Reader of the Year award. His comments add to the website immeasurably, and he epitomizes the thoughtful, respectful, educated fan of pugilism we strive to cater to at TSS. Congrats, Fe'Roz, and please accept my thanks for being the valued member of this community that you are. Sincerely, Editor Mike
