Sadam Ali Wants Bradley, Willing To Pay to Play

Sadam Ali is the No. 1 ranked contender by the WBO at 147 pounds. He waited for a title shot against WBO champ Tim Bradley, craved it, and craves it still.

He was bypassed, in favor of vet Brandon Rios, a bigger name but apparently more deteriorated talent than the Brooklyn-based Ali. Bradley handled Rios with ease, finally knuckling down with body shots and taking the Cali-based boxer out, and to the retirement hammock, on Saturday night in Las Vegas, and on HBO.

Meanwhile, that same Saturday night, Ali got his checkbook ready.

His team told me they are willing to offer promoter Bob Arum $100,000 to NOT block a Bradley vs. Ali fight. Arum for the record, is Bradley’s promoter, while Golden Boy promotes Ali.

Team Ali’s Mahmoud Ali, father of Sadam, told me that Top Rank offered Sadam step aside money, $100,000, as a feel-good offering so Rios could leap-frog Ali. That was turned down, and the Alis hoped the WBO would lay down the law, and stick to their regulations.

That’s a new one to me..a fighter offering a PROMOTER a bounty to help make a fight reach fruition. Boxing, theater of the unexpected. This one certainly fills that bill..

Sadam Ali is full of syet. And T-Brad will destroy him. Nuff said! Holla!

Paying $100,000 for a possible $500-$700,000 Pay Day is a good business investment... Ali won't win, but the exposure is invaluable....

He is not paying syet. He is just jiving and conniving to get copy. Besides a $100,000 payout to da Bobfather is like giving you a quarter not to attend Money May's next scrap. If Ali wants to block T-Brad from dancing with another opponent and to fight him, he will sign a new promotion contract with da Bobfather. And he knows that. That is how promoters deal 95 percent of the time. And the other 5 percent will be with much bigger bucks. Holla!

MAYBE Now that Bradley has exhausted his final flagrant duck by taking out the hapless Rios who was never a threat to win any version of the welterweight crown, we can get Bradley vs Ali, .....his current and long standing mandatory. Bradley has a better chance with Atlas in his corner because Bradley respects his authority and Atlas usually has a good strategy for every type of fighter. However I think Ali can topple Bradley with his speed and mobility. I've been saying for almost a year now that Ali has the toolset to win this confrontation, ... I still believe very strongly that this statement is destined to be true, ...make it happen!!!!

I was wondering what your comments here would be as soon as I saw the thread title with "Sadam Ali" in it; as I know you're big on Ali - which is cool. Gotta say I am not sure Ali beats Bradley, but then I am not sure precisely where Bradley is right now too. Vargas didn't really tell us, and neither did Rios. Although, at least Tim was more aggressive and closed the show with a tough/durable guy; in the Rios fight. One problem with Tim closing the show and then jumping to conclusions and attributing it all to Bradley (and/or Atlas); is that it's hard to know how much Rios gave away - as he really wasn't in top shape, looked terrible at the weigh-in, and also Brandon's last 3 fights don't really read/look well either. By comparison, had Bradley fought Khan, Brook, Thurman or Hererra ,then I am sure we would have a better picture of where Bradley is right now. Not sure I agree with you about Atlas' strategy; even though I know where you're coming from and know Teddy can and does read/predict a fight well - at times. I think you may be right about the respect Tim has for Atlas. But I'm not (yet) sure that is in excess of what Tim used to have for Joel either; or whether any perceivably better performance from Bradley with Teddy will be due to far away pastures being greener and all that - if you know what I mean. At this point in time, I am going to be a little more restrained than otherwise might be the case about the outcome of any Ali V Bradley fight (regardless of Bradley's trainer), due solely to the fact you know more about Sadam than me, we both know Bradley, and you're still pretty high on Ali beating him. If it were not for those aforementioned considerations - based on what I have seen from Sadam Ali - I would probably say with conviction that he wouldn't beat Tim; in the same manner as I was pretty solid on the fact that Pac would never defeat Floyd. But then the last time I didn't respect my shortfall of knowledge on a fighter (Crawford) and guessed/went with Gamboa (without too much analysis), I not only was wrong - but I think you also held steadfast on Crawford. One must learn from their mistakes of we are to evolve, adapt, and improve. :) :)

I understand Ali is still a wildcard for many, but when he fights Bradley, the fight won't look anything like the Vargas fight or the fight against a shot and unmotivated Rios. Face fighters and pressure fighters always burn out first. Rios is done. Boxers who live by their skill and mobility have more options in the ring. Bradley better forget about slugging with Canelo or Golovkin and get back to the fighter he was when he outboxed Marquez in order to have a chance against Ali.

What a MYTH! "Face fighters and pressure fighters" Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, "Homicide" Hank Armstrong, "Smokin'" Joe Frazier, Aaron "Hawk Time" Pryor, Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Julio Cesar Chavez Sr, to name a few, did a lot of good years at the top just fine by working out and being in shape. Something that Bam Bam was good at faking. "Boxers who live by their skill and mobility" may have had more options but it didn't get them world title crowns. Let me start off with your "Black Russian" guy and holla at your homeboys Pete Seward and Ricky Rozelle and let me end with my idol Howard Davis Jr. Da game is known as the "theatre of the unexpected." You cannot stereotype a certain style as the next great thing or as a POS. It is all about the grits and determination in a pug's syet and a few breaks alone the way that helps him to the top. Holla!

Well, there you go. The "DoubleWorldChampion" has spoken, and enlightened us on what myths are, and therefore we are advised and it must be true. Seriously though; I am thinking that, perhaps it may be a good idea, for there to be a Forum-Order in place where - in order to be taken seriously - "DoubleWorldChampion" must fully reveal his past pretending, lying and truth-offending record to any person he seeks to; A) Portray himself as an expert/"DoubleWorldChampion" to. B) Recruit as a puppy. C) Start a “domestic, romantic, or otherwise relationship” with. Similar orders are given out by courts in both Australia and the USA to protect society for offenders of similar and other natures/considerations. Finally; I am not sure that if we looked at all "DoubleWorldChampion's" pre-MayPac comments including all his ramblings/hundreds over here in this ("51 pages of PacSoreLoser and hate") thread . . . .
->http://www.thesweetscience.com/forums/showthread.php?21165-Time-for-GGG-to-call-out-Lil-Floyd . . . . particularly those related to Floyd - that the above "DoubleWorldChampion" comment ""you cannot stereotype a certain style as the next great thing or as a POS"" would not be exposed for the inconsistent dribble it really is. But then, whilst an accurate claim with data to support it, this is still - to some extent - speculation. Love it !!!

Somebody definitely forgot to tell Columbus! Ohio native Vonzell Johnson that as a boxer he had more options in dat squared jungle. My boy Michael $pinks "Jink$" almost killed dat boksing fool. Took him to slugging-and-mugging skool. Holla!

-Radam G :

Skills, not styles, pay the bills. Smooth Columbus, Ohio, boksing fool Vonzell Johnson got put too sleep back in da day by the superior slugging of Spinks Jinx:
->https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AKyCwEFjzpM. With Teddy Atlas running the corner, T-Brad will do Sadam Ali the same way. And that is no play to get the pay. Holla.
