“Road To Kovalev-Pascal” Is HERE

Kovalev-Pascal

Less than two weeks to go, we get the return of the Krusher. Kovalev, that is…the Russian born hitter who lives in California, and is one of HBO's cornerstone duo of Eastern Euro grinning wrecking balls, him and Gennady Golovkin. He meets Haitian-born Canadian Jean Pascal March 14 in Montreal. To get your blood simmering, get your pulse racing a bit in anticipation, check out this “Road To” video put together by our friends at HBO.

Wonder how many cats here are backing Pascal to win this?

-Pazuzu :

Not this one. Pascal better bring his bicycle if wants any chance of victory. He will need to jab, stick and move every second of those 36 minutes in the ring, otherwise Kovalev will be overwhelm him with relentless pressure and lethal power. We saw in Kovalev-Hopkins that the Krusher is more than a ring general; he has Field Marshal-level skills when it comes to cutting off the ring. Pascal will need a more active jab and better legs as Kovalev stalks him across the ring. Pascal also gets off balance and sticks his chin out when he jabs to the body or comes forward with overhand rights. If he makes these mistakes against Kovalev, he'll have his head separated from his shoulders. I can only imagine the mental pressure that Kovalev exerts as he keeps coming forward with that power and accuracy, round after round after round... The Krusher deals Jean Pascal his first stoppage loss with a late-round TKO.

Pascal getting beat like a red headed step child.

Love it !! That is a brilliant line.

-Skibbz :

I hope Pascal comes out banging, cuts the distance and fights Kovalev on the inside and clinches him. If he fights hard and fights the right fight he has a chance in my opinion. If Kovalev does his thing, then of course Pascal will be Krushed.

Pascal is one of my homeboys, I don't predict him to win, but I do predict a far better fight than Hopkins gave, Pascal will at least try to win , which means he does have a chance !

Sorry, Froggy! Hopkins did try to win, but Kovalev's power, timing and ring generalship put him into survival mode within the first round. Pascal's legs might buy him some time, but as soon as he tries lunging in with his chin up, throwing his slappy little arm punches, Kovalev will put him down for the count. Kovalev won't have to wait, Jean Pascal goes down in eight! : )
