Physically, Mike Alvarado is going to be the biggest opponent JMM has ever faced. At the opening bell, Alvarado will most likely weigh close to 160. JMM has got to keep the fight away from the ropes. If he gets into the trenches with Alvarado, he's in deep trouble the longer the fight goes. For the squeamish, this is not the fight to watch if you're just getting into boxing. I expect blood. There may even be a lot of it spilled from both sides. For the veterans, this should be one helluva fight to watch, with plenty of action throughout. I already have it penciled in on my list of F.O.T.Y. candidates. I doubt I will have to remove it from there tonight. -Randy G.

Good call there Commish especially on the bloody part. Both of these guys are bleeders and I am with you, tonight should be no exception. Although I think Marquez will win, I have begun to wonder if that weight will wear down Dinamita. Alvarado likes to fight in a phone booth and to have some one 10-15 lbs heavier than leaning on you is no small task to handle. I think an interesting thing in this will be the refereeing. If we get a Smoger type, that lets you fight in tight and doesn't quickly break clenches; huge advantage to Alvarado. I am looking forward to this one. As I said before, I see a possible Marquez-Diaz I repeat with this one.

The good news for Marquez is that he's getting in there with a fighter he can hit. Although trading punches (with MA), .....which Marquez excels at.. is a bit different than trading punches with the Baby Bull Diaz. This will be a painful night for Marquez... who is once again challenging a decent boxer with a size advantage. Marquez's chances increases exponentially if he can survive until the eighth round where his excellent conditioning will potentially allow him to basically take over.

I can't wait for this one tonight. There are so many possible scenarios as to how this fight will play out in the ring. But one thing it seems we all agree upon is that now matter how you slice it or dice it this will be entertaining. Styles make fights as we all know and there is no scenario in which this won't be enjoyable to watch.
