Shaw: Kayode Not Interested In Flores Fight

GaryShawProductionsJune 12, 2012 – Once beaten cruiserweight contender BJ Flores (27-1-1, 17 KOs) has gone public, calling out undefeated Nigerian Lateef “Power” Kayode (18-0-1, 14 KOs) after his fight on Showtime Championship Boxing where he had a draw with five-time world champion, Antonio Tarver (29-6-1, 20 KOs). Flores contacted Gary Shaw Productions last week with his request.

Said John Beninati, matchmaker for Gary Shaw Productions, “Dear BJ, first I want to say that I think you are great for boxing and I am a big fan. However, Lateef Kayode had a draw with the best Cruiserweight on the planet last week in Antonio Tarver. Although we at GSP think you're a good fighter, Lateef Kayode is looking for much bigger fights in the future.”

[url=] Ray Flores Talks Porter vs Berto - Top welterweights Shawn Porter (26-2-1) and Andre Berto (31-4) clash this Saturday night in the main event of the Premier Boxing Champions and Showtime Boxing’s card from the Barclays Center. The match-up has been talked about for a long time and both men will enter the ring coming off layoffs of 10 months (Porter) and 12 months (Berto). That fact alone means both men have something to prove, and that is that they are still sharp after so much time off. Porter is feeling the pressure because he is coming off a loss to Keith Thurman that drops him to 0-2 in his last two world title fights. He needs a win to earn the third shot he craves so much. Berto is a veteran of a lot of ring wars and he has worked his way up near the top of boxing’s pay lists and he needs a win to keep his name in the hat for the bigger fights.   Ray Flores Talks Porter vs Berto Our "road warrior" analyst Ray Flores checks in to talk Shawn Porter versus Andre Berto in this latest TBC segment.
