Rocky Balboa movie
Rocky’s back. The sixth installment of the boxing film opened on Wednesday Dec. 20 nationwide. It’s called “Rocky Balboa” and features Sylvester Stallone who wrote, directed and produced the film. Also starring is real boxer Antonio Tarver in the role of Mason Dixon.

The notion of fighting on Christmas Eve or Christmas day reminds me of a story I once heard about a cockfight gone bad. Some years ago in Cocke County, Tennessee, two young men entered a chicken fight being held on Christmas Eve, robbed the spectators at gunpoint, and fled. They were quickly apprehended by the police. When the alleged thieves were told that bail had been posted for them, they refused because they had no family who would have bothered to bail them out, and had no idea who would be waiting for them when they walked out of the jailhouse.

Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter is the new king of one-liners.
He’s not exactly the reincarnation of Bob Hope, and you won’t find him doing standup at some comedy club in Fresno.
But that’s because he’s not trying to be funny. He’s just short with his answers, like a guy who had to catch a train and didn’t have a lot of time to talk.
