If Cotto fights Rios at 152 and has a mw belt he looks like he is scared to death of GGG

That would be a blatant duck

That's the question ...will Kovalev become just another fighter who is merely happy to be there....he seems to have a lot of respect for Bhop. Will the Krusher....... the brutal ring tyrant who is thirsty for knock outs show up on fight night or just another autograph seeker?

Chino is a harder one punch hitter than Canelo. Canelo is crisper and his power is aided by his combination punching, but Chino is harder puncher.

Gatti was waaaaaaaay past his prime and war torn. Sure Floyd would have beat him at any time in his career, but the fact you use that fight at that stage is a not accurate to Gatti's abilities. think about a prime Gatti against Floyd and what a good fight that would have been even if Floyd beat him 12 rounds to 0.

Floyd at this stage and age, would not beat GGG at 160.

Clever psychological move on Floyd's part.

Now Chino (may) feel a little like Margarito felt when walking out to face Sugar Shane.

And . . . for that comparison perhaps Floyd may also feel the way Shane did; in such that Shane - for curious reasons - opted not to make too much of Antonio's (unfair) advantage.

Personally, I can't imagine anything that Ariza knows and/or can access that Floyd can't or hasn't.

Floyd's going to pick Chino apart - perhaps even bust him up.

Have a look at Mayweather V Chavez; Floyd destroyed Chavez' soul and "played" him brilliantly. Chavez was 35-1-0 going in and in his prime.

Alvarez; Floyd stood in front of him and completely surprised and embarrassed him. Alvarez is a solid light middle and in his prime.

Corley; azz whipping and out-classing of the highest order. Corely was/is no mug.

Gatti; seriously exposed as a club fighter.

Corrales; was 33-0-0 going in and was slapped senseless.

Castillo "may" have won the first fight, but Floyd had hand problems and was also moving up in weight from super featherweight to lightweight. Add to that Castillo was a big (particularly on fight night) lightweight. In the rematch Floyd dominated with a UD.

After the Castillo fights (which themselves followed the Jesus Chavez blowout) came Victoriano Sosa (35-2-2 going in with Floyd) and Ndou (30-1-0 going in with Floyd); with Sosa getting blown away on the scorecards for a UD win for Floyd, and Ndou getting stopped in the 7th round.

Both guys (Sosa and Ndou) were not past their use by dates when they fought Floyd, by any means.

The above is just a few.

There are many more brilliant fights and examples of how good Mayweather is, and (in my opinion) how he will become a serious problem for Chino in the rematch.

Chino is not tougher or a harder puncher than Alvarez.

Sure Floyd has performed better in the featherweight and lightweight divisions, and sure he has "managed" aspects of his career; but the boy can solve a problem in the ring and close/take guys out with not only minimal risk to himself but also a style that lends itself to judges - there's no doubt about that.

Floyd has just chosen to fight a way that preserves himself, his health and his wealth; particularly at welterweight and above.

Anyone thinking Floyd is not the real deal . . . . view the above (few) fights and the mad skills Floyd displays and ask yourself "do you think Floyd has forgot how to do that and/or that his current style has not evolved to be as it is, because it is not better".

One of Floyd's greatest assets is the fact that he knows precisely what counters are available to his opponent whenever he (himself) throws, and braced with this knowledge - when attacking or countering - he limits his opponent's options whilst maximising his own.

3G does a similar thing, although he is not as cerebral - more power centric - particularly after he knows he has confused his opponent's temporal balance with one of the punches I have previously described; to the temple with the right hand.

Check his (3G's) attack style - you will see what I mean.

Happy to elaborate if the demand for it is there.

With this knowledge, there is a way to beat Gennady or devise a fight plan that will (provided it is installed in the correct mind/body) thwart his style though.

I wonder if anyone that reads this site - that is all the top notch trainers and fighters - dares to step forward and explain it.

Come on - I dare and commend you.

"JayZ and Al Hayman actually have a very healthy working relationship. Al sold 49% interest of his highly successful business Al Hayman productions to LIVE NATION (formally SFX) in 1999.

Somewhere around 2008 LIVE NATION (who also produces tours for Lady Gaga and Madona) bought 51% of the controlling share.

LIVE NATION works with Beyonces management company Parkwood entertainment to manage and co- produce her 200 million $ plus Worldwide Tour.

Al Hayman has been an integral part of LIVE Nations family of promoter networks since 1999.

LIVE NATION hired the Reed Accounting Firm and informed Beyonce that her father Mathew Knowles was possibly pilfering cash from Beyonce's family business. ( or at least told her there were some discrepancies)

Matthew Knowles filed legal papers saying that he and Hayman were being implicated in a false accusation by LIVE NATION regarding the embezzlement of Beyones funds .

Beyonces dad Matthew Knowles was subsequently "let go" quietly by Beyonce who said the lines between her father who also served as manager were becoming too blurry and she had to separate herself.

The point I'm making is Al Hayman is part of LIVE NATION and has worked with Beyonce and JayZ for the mutual benefit of their many concert and business interests.

The source of malcontent and potential malfeasance stemmed from her business relationship with her father.

ROC Nation didn't make such a generous offer to Quillen out of the blue. It was offered because of an ongoing business relationship between JayZ and Al Hayman.

Beyonce keeps the matter regarding her dad strictly a family matter and hasn't broadcast much detail about it.

But all manner of rumors have taken root on the internet. And actually the whole crux of the matter was Beyonces dad."

Ditto dat! The Queen B did tell old daddy to buzz away. And stay. Holla!

Agree with most of the above.

Also . . . it's hard for me to imagine that PQ was brimming with excitement/confidence with the thought of facing a southpaw like "MK Ultra"; who has shown he isn't scared of 3G (at least in his previous incarnation).

I don't see anyone (previously or currently) from Roaches' gym that's interested in a 3G, or similar challenge.

They know the deal.

Would Cotto throw his name and into the hat with a fomer junior welter that hasnt proven he can compete with the best at 140, 147, or heaven forbid.....154 ?

This fight doesnt do a thing for Cotto. And the ensuing massacre wont reflect well on the boxing community.

Cotto ... The middleweight champ can probably get away with ducking GGG a while longer.... BUT to duck GGG and fight Rios??? I don't think so."

I think your last sentence may be the one thing - if any - that the fight does for Cotto.

Keep him away from 3G and Madison Square Garden.

Michael Spinks fought Dewight Quawi Muhammed just 2 months after his 24 year old wife was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 1984.
Spinks daughter asked him 2 weeks before the fight if her mommy was going to show up at the fight.
Its said that Spinks broke down into a sobbing heaving mess as the realization of what he had lost hit him like a ton a bricks.

Still ....Michael pulled it together and kept his win streak alive to win a 15 round decision over a very tough and competitive challenger.

Quillen would do well to make note of Spinks example ... There will be plenty of time to vaction after the fight and 1.4 million reasons to enjoy it.

"Yep, fair call RG.

But (in my defence, and this is not directed at you) when I initially took on the job as "The Mod" I openly said and/or indicated here on the forum that I had concerns about my schedule.

I was not in a position to dedicate every single day of the 1/2 month I was at the helm; but for the most part I could catch/read up the following day.

As far as the last day was concerned, I could not do that for obvious reasons and as it was the Monday (AU time) that closed out the 1/2 month I had back to back meetings.

Still, rather than say no - or spit the dummy - or throw the bike in the bush; I soldiered on and instead made an announcement that the final day would be Sunday; to give everyone advance notice.

This was - I hope - an example of the professionalism that DDV mentions above.

If I was advised at the start that the timeframes were as I know know them to be; I probably wouldn't have had a run with the task.

As it is I am glad I did as I got to develop a better appreciation for all the posters and the website.

In any regard, I am sure that BrownSugar is proven and good enough at being the Mod and participating/reading the forums such that any posts I may have overlooked in the final 1/2 day I may have missed (which is balanced out by the day early I started) can be considered in his tenure."

I'm not changing a thing Storm.... Your choices were solid. The winners you picked were consistent and powered through the second week with the same dynamic zest they had displayed in the previous week. You may have made an honest mistake about the time frame but you have nothing to apologize for. As far as I'm concerned those winners are official.

Fighting, whether it's boxing, wrestling or mixed martial arts, is the toughest sport known to man. You show me a great fighter in any combat sport and I'll show you someone who is very smart and who is also quick to analyze and process things pertaining to situations that change in milliseconds. Some try too hard in the beginning and end up being a trendy gastro-pub with a few boxing photos and posters on the wall.
